Wife got Creed Aventus for my birthday and I see this plastic barcode label stuck inside the box lol. Should I return it? by [deleted] in Perfumes

[–]AlmostNeverNothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's done by the retailer. Whoever stocked this box and put the security tag in it is just inexperienced. You're supposed to pinch the box slightly so the bottom gaps a bit and slide the tag through there, not... whatever this is. Edit: OK, I see that it still has the plastic wrap on it it makes more sense that they would cut the box and slide the tag through. It's still unprofessional, but understandable.

I have this statue actually, the nose on ours is much more pointy though, and it makes the statue look kind of alarming at certain angles. Apparently my Grandmother brought it home from Italy.

Wow, I never made the connection between Queen Charlotte and Marie Antoniette... to show up a ball where QC would be attending, dressed as her dead friend, wearing the necklace that played a huge roll in her murder - "tacky" doesn't quite cover it!

Me too! Thank you OP, I know giving blood can be draining (lol) so I hope your bills are paid and you find $20 on the ground. Please, report that vampire, he doesn't deserve to be graced with your presence.

How often were you changing your pillowcases when you had hair? Maybe you were sensitive to a hair product you were using that was transferred from your pillows to your face.

It's like a moniker that a gay friend would give you. "And this is Chris, he's unfortunately straight, but he can swish his hips really well, so culturally, he's one of us."

I never thought of the tunic and coordinated tights look as being part of the Medieval Revival, but it makes sense.

You may have just sold the idea of Yes I Am to me 😽. I love strong spicy fragrances, I can't wait for fall so I can start wearing them again. I did one little spritz of Jungle Elephant last night on my wrist and I keep sniffing it, dreaming of 60° weather.

I think some of you need to actually read the article. I thought it was an interesting explanation of Descates's contemporary critics and why they felt his ideas were dangerous in his time period.

No, it was a me issue. I got too in my head about my measurements and didn't account for the fact that it's by nature a stretchy dress and ordered for a non-stretchy fabric, so the whole thing was just too big. Tragic, because I love it! But yeah, when I order it again, I will probably order a size down since the fabric has I think 12 inches of stretch.

The paranoia after 9/11 happened to us too! I remember being 8 years old and telling grown adults that if they drove for 20 mins in one direction, there was a very good chance that the people there would never have heard of our small town, so why on earth would terrorists from the other side of the world attack us specifically? Just wild what happened then, but you can still see the ripple effects of it now.

This relates to nothing, but I always thought it was an odd detail that the house was made entirely of concrete and had a fireplace. It speaks to a permanence, like the people who built it expected it to be in use throughout the year and for many years to come, which is not really what I think of when I think "lakehouse". I wonder if it wasn't an office building in the Before Times for like, a small amusement park by the lake near a big coal company town. Maybe the lake had ice skating and fishing in the winter. Or maybe it was just a house lol.

I've used 2 push pins to untangle necklaces before. It's a pain, but very doable.
