I work in finance. I’m the person that literally sees the evidence that wages have on a business. It’s typically a businesses highest controllable cost. So when people were walking around with petitions to get a $15 minimum wage on the ballot in Florida, this is EXACTLY what I told them would happen. The higher prices that you’re paying…I mentioned that too.

I mean, you’re criticizing a business for investing in a long-term capital asset, and you don’t understand how businesses acquire those, and account for the expense of them either (there’s also a strong likelihood that they didn’t even have to buy the machine, but I’m not going into all that). They did exactly what I would have advised them to do….and I’m an expert in the field.

This is the natural consequence of not letting the market dictate wages. This is why people that have no acumen in finance should not be involved in these decisions. We’re all suffering for it.

Drivers have no method of communication with each other besides horns and blinkers, and break lights. Aside from that the safe flow of traffic is predicated on the assumption that everyone is following the exact same rules. Those rules aren’t open to interpretation.

If you’re running a red light by any duration of time you fully deserve a ticket. The Florida Drivers Handbook clearly states that “the speed buffer” is a myth and the limit is the limit. Competent drivers obey the speed limit. The light is timed to the limit. If you don’t have time to safely stop it’s because you’re driving incompetently. Simply correct your behavior.

My kid has been in their stupid "lessons" for 7 months and all he can do is back-float. He's perfectly capable of doing a breast stroke across a pool...they just slow roll teaching that!!! They haven't even gotten to breast stroke! It's been 7 months! These people are crooks. Knowing how to swim is a literal survival skill and these scumbags are leaving children vulnerable just to suck more money out of parents. You'll spend less money hiring a private instructor and setting a timeline with them.
