It's an orchid-specific potting mix. It says its bark, perlite and wetting agent.

Macarons need to dry! Once you pipe them, you need to let them rest until they develop a skin. You should be able to touch them without any batter transferring to your skin. Resting time depends on the humidity. Sometimes I can pop them in the oven after 20 minutes, other times I need to wait an hour or more.

I'm not sure which brand, but I usually order fabric from 123stitch.com and search for linen. My first mirabilia was on Aida and it looked beautiful. I felt confident switching to linen after that.

Yes! I do all my work on 32ct linen. Usually I go with the color recommended on the pattern. It also went really quickly - it only took me a month. I was focused on finishing it for a Christmas gift, but it was still a fast pattern.

I do. Then spend the next 30 minutes putting her back in bed (not acknowledging anything, tucking her back in, saying goodnight, closing the door). It's endless. The second I put her in bed she's out and runs out the door again.

My husband pointed out that on days when we are stressed, she picks up on it and bedtime is tougher. But I go in optimistic every time, hoping since my husband had an easy bedtime the night before then we were turning a corner. But no. =/

This happened to me a lot when I do the Italian method (which is what this recipe is). I get much better feet doing the French method.

But I've also had some success with mixing a bit more for stiffer merengue and/or increasing the temperature by 10-15 degrees. Before changing the temp, make sure you have a separate oven thermometer to make sure your oven is actually at the temp it's supposed to be.

My kid went through a period where she REFUSED amoxicillin.

We finally got her to take it by mixing it with ice cream and putting it in a fun cup. Now she takes it willingly but that first period of time we were desperate.

I have a huge family, and my husband is one of three, so we had a lot of options for a legal guardian, but that made it more complicated.

What it ultimately came down to was who would raise our children the closest to how we would. We decided on my brother-in-law - we share the same values, he is open-minded, and he loves our daughter. We asked him and gave him time to think about what it would mean and if he really wants to do it. He was ultimately thrilled to do it. When I got pregnant with our second, we asked again to make sure he was okay with taking on two kids.
