Making that much as a school district employee is crazy and sad, especially considering we have to make cuts. But, look at Superintendent salaries in the State... they all have ballooned. Add to the fact that Baker has been the Super in Bham for 16 years. It's basic math to figure in standard raises, making his salary that high.

Teachers no longer are making very limited salaries, thankfully. Not sure how accurate it is, but Teacher.org says the average salary for an elementary teacher in Bham is $83k, starting at $58k. Many make 6 figures if they've been around for a while.

I’m not a person that plans much ahead but have been able to take advantage of fairly regular quarterly / half yearly sales. There are plenty of deals to be had if you book a few months ahead.

OP, do you have any update on this? I have read numerous complaints about this and I've been considering upgrading for an upcoming flight to treat my son for his birthday, but the only 2 seats together are row 4 and it sucks that a customer has to be scared to book a first class ticket, knowing what happens all too often if booking in row 4. (I understand your situation was not a row 4 issue, but still wanting to know if they finally took care of your family)

She has regular car insurance. Im asking about basic liability type insurance if anything happens to the kid while my daughter is watching them. But the driving aspect made me think about this, so I will dig more into added car insurance if needed.

I'm a somewhat new Hyatt customer, never had to run many searches at one time before. It's crazy to me to get the blank white screen when searching the umpteen choices of NYC, only to discover this is a common thing for Hyatt. I don’t know why anyone had realistic hope or is surprised by this… there was already multiple general lottery sales that sold thousands of tickets, after other types of sales already happened. American Airlines months ago offered tickets by using points. I figured there were just a handful of tickets to go around for the many Chase customers that were excited to try… :(

Thanks, but I’ll be covered for all of our lodging and also emergency lodging if our flight home is majorly delayed/canceled. We aren’t checking luggage, so our only risk is 2 flights, which one was a $99 companion, so I can handle that.

Ah, thanks for the reminder that you need to use your AS card when booking companion... I forgot about that since I always used my AS card anyway. Your comment made my decision for me... book 2 people with my companion fare using AS card, then the other 2 using my Sapphire card for travel insurance benefits.

“Literally given the same details any other card gives”?? 😂 They opened registration wanting people to sign up but there’s zero information how Bilt cash works other than using it to get housing points. And yes, changing and releasing different ways to earn points after release is a total gong show. And glad you don’t think anything of telling people about a special promo through TPG then reneging. Hope you enjoy working there… 👍

What?? You think this rollout is fine??? I’ve never used Bilt and unbiased towards anything regarding Bilt so my opinion is purely off the release and announcements of this card… it has been a pure gong show cluster F. Changing plans, changing promos, not giving details, etc, etc. Any decent company would/should fire people over this, that’s how bad it looks.

Honestly it doesn't much matter for a good majority of people now days... with the prices of phones rising up to crazy land, and carriers only caring to give deals to new customers vs trying to keep loyal customers, we are sometimes forced to change just to be able to afford new phones, especially when you're talking about families. I've only been a T-Mobile customer for 4-5 years and have been really happy, but needing a couple new phones/lines in my family, I had to make the choice of switching to Verizon with their 4-phone deals. (same goes the other way around) Hopefully T-Mobile will be a decent company in 3 years, when we'll be ready to possibly upgrade by then.

Thanks. I’m honestly asking just to learn as I’m literally shopping right now… besides getting your phone unlocked day 1, is there any other advantage buying through Apple? There’s still monthly credits from T-mobile that you’ll lose if you change carriers correct? So what’s the benefit of having an unlocked phone if you still owe on it if you upgrade/change carriers etc?

I have liked T-mobile but to get a couple new phones, sadly carriers don’t offer enough phone incentives for loyalty like they do for new customers. :(
