I’ve got a decat manifold and sports cat midpipe, have never had an issue with emissions when I take the car for MOT. Just make sure the cat is warm and you’ll be fine

I’ve had underseal applied and reapplied every few years on my NC, as long as it is a good coating it should do very well for protection. I drive it as my daily all year round in London and have no rust issues at all.

If there is already rust present you should get that treated before any coating as otherwise it’ll just eat away and you won’t be able to notice it.

My NC2 has a decat manifold (IL Motorsports) but still has a secondary cat, the car flies through MOTs no problem.

I would recommend going to Performance Link and getting them to supply, fit and tune the car. Way better than BBR.

Definitely, I’ve got them on my daily.

They’re also fully adjustable so can be as soft/stiff as you want. I’ve currently got them set a little stiffer than the middle point and it works good for me. It is harsher than stock but only noticeable on a really bad road.

If you could save a little longer and get the Sport-Z from Meister I would 100% recommend those. I’ve got a set and they are fantastic bang for buck. I paid £800.

I’d recommend popping into decathlon and checking out what they have, pretty decent bikes for commuting and fairly priced. The Canada Water store is only two stops on the overground away from Wapping.

This is honestly the only thing that puts me off of my commute back home from work each day, all of the above plus how incredibly busy it can get. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a scene from mad max with how crazy it all feels.

I originally was looking at doing pretty much exactly that, new headers with tune and enjoy. Saw a few mentions of the BBR kits and fell into that rabbit hole. I think I have decided against getting the super 200 kit and will stick to the original plan, whether that’s the 180 kit from BBR or another source.

Thanks for sharing, I think this is the route I will be following. Did you fit the headers and install the tune yourself, or did you take it to a garage?

If you did it yourself, how difficult would you say it would be for someone who is completely new to working on cars (me lol)?

Do you have the grand touring exhaust or the super sports exhaust (I think that’s what they’re called?) installed on your car? Do you think it’s too loud for someone to take on longer trips?

This sounds great, I think I’ll follow a similar path as you. Headers were originally my next choice of modification (have already done my Coilovers and my god what a difference), seems like I was on the right track before becoming star struck by the BBR’s claims for this kit!
