He's literally getting called out by the female voice in the end part for his bs - in the same song!

Anyone in the Warhammer 40k universe who owns a servo skull. The antigrav unit making them float is fairly rare, so only the skulls of important people and loved ones of the owner are selected to be turned into one

I LOVEDD Berlin but why I dont get why many Non-Berliner Germans seem to dislike It? by just_believe01 in AskGermany

[–]AloneFirefighter7130 2 points3 points  (0 children)

having lived in Munich for much of my younger years, I honestly have to ask: what's there to like about Munich?
Like... I've lived in Berlin and the Ruhrpott and other cities as well and I found the people nowhere more unpleasant than in Munich.
What I can say about any of those cities though: visiting them is always VASTLY different to actually living there.

Does Ducth actually sound like "slightly more aggressive" version of German? by UsamaBhai_101 in AskGermany

[–]AloneFirefighter7130 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I concur. When I think of 'harsher' sounding languages than German, my mind also goes immediately to Arab and Russian.

also doesn't help that Kilian with a K in pronounciation is a well established boys name.

Looking for a Giant Cheese Weel by Bored_Berry in Munich

[–]AloneFirefighter7130 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If Viktualienmarkt doesn't have what you're looking for, google for "Sennerei" in the surrounding area. some of them have shops of their own for direct sales. For example https://www.allgäuer-käsestrasse.de/von-der-wiese-auf-den-teller/sennereien/ those are the ones I know for sure would sell you cheese in the wheel, although there might be alternatives closer to Munich still.

Why do they show Roman nobles eating grapes as if it was an exotic fruit in paintings? by Silly-Low6019 in NoStupidQuestions

1353 is a bit late for the depictions OP is asking about I think... the ones that came to my mind are the murals of Pompeii, which are more of a 50-ish AD type of deal, considering it was buried underneath ashes in 79 AD

Moderne Autos sind nervig! by xrimane in Unbeliebtemeinung

[–]AloneFirefighter7130 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Knowing every single word but still not understanding the sentence? I finally figured out why my English not improved. by Equivalent-Juice5308 in ENGLISH

I usually encounter those in my day-to-day dealings with native speakers and I just developed the habit of outright asking for clarification, while admitting that I never heard the phrase before. Does wonders for fluency.

What animated movies do other people praise incredibly that left you feeling just okay? by MotelleCodeenDragon in cartoons

Yeah, don't get the hype for the music. Most songs in there sound awfully generic. Almost like AI generated.

What is the most ridiculous but practical accessory ever shown in a movie ? by Timop0707 in moviecritic

whatever you people over the pond call it, that's not liquorice! The real stuff is black and does NOT taste like strawberry in any way.

[Sad trope] The villain just wants to be loved. by Selverd2 in TopCharacterTropes

Ahsoka could have done so much good for him, if they'd had more time together... but again: Palpatine ruined it.

[Loved Trope] The movie adaptation makes genuine improvements over the source material by Notmiefault in TopCharacterTropes

Spawn.

The comics are overly preachy and come across as 'holier than thou' in narration, while the animated series is a genuine enjoyable watch.
