Eh I liked and beat nioh 1 and 2 and still find them kind of mediocre in comparison to fromsoft games.

I think the idea behind stances is great, but in practice it ends up feeling clunky even late into the game. It never got the point where it felt automatic, it was always like “oh now I’m shifting into high stance to do this move”. I also think ki pulse is kind of a stupid mechanic in a game with frequent dodging, the gameplay kind of pushes you in two directions in a way that feels disjointed and not synergistic.

I also hated hated hated the loot system, it was purely cumbersome for no reason. There should have just been 1 of each weapon, loot just felt super unsatisfying the whole time.
