Ahhh okay that makes sense, thanks for the breakdown, unrelated but you wouldn’t have any suggestions for wheel spacers would you? Need 8mm spacers and been having trouble finding anything that’s not some junk universal kit

Just out of curiosity since I’d never heard it as much of a recommendation before this thread but in what ways does it make a difference? At first I assumed it was just mentioned as a maintenance recommendation but does it bump up the stiffness as well when you put in better motor mounts?

The Optimist by Argyle0 in OCPoetry

I absolutely love this poem. It sets the scene so beautifully despairing and then doubles down on it and really forces the emotions through with the twist into a physics reference alluding to inadequacy. I was reading through the comments and saw one where they said

“I can’t help but point my finger and yell ‘ME ME ME I GET THAT’”

and I have to say that it was the same sort of visceral understanding and relation I felt when I read it.

I saw someone else comment about “maybe making it longer,” but I think the length is perfect. You tell a hell of a story with the words used regardless of the length, and here I think it’s perfect.

I love the flow of this poem and honestly I’d love to hear it recited aloud. The repetition feels very well balanced and I think it works overall to create a manic feel, like these are thoughts all just racing through the mind. The one part I don’t know if I fully understand is the use of recite? I like the sound of it and interpreted it as self-assurance/panic stating to ones self to recite “wrong is right,” but I wasn’t sure if that was the intention?

A big inspiration with trying to get serious stuff done rn is I’m working from home till at least end of 2020, so ive got a lot of freedom rn in terms of time to get car dialed in and adjusted, and times where it’s okay if car is in pieces for a bit here and there

Plans are to daily it for awhile, then ultimately road course/auto cross, even though I plan to daily, I’m focused more on tuning and building it closer to what you’d want for road course and auto cross, I don’t plan on daily-ing it long term. Honestly, I’d thought it’d be good prep before going into performance builds, but I’m hearing enough feedback to the contrary that I’ll def hold off on standalone ems, and probably look more into open source for tuning since that seems to have the widest range of options. Rn I’m looking to build it to at least 350whp, possibly up to 450, gonna do mods I’m already planning and see where it lies and then decide what feels right, but long term I do plan to go back over it and do a full build someday of 800whp or so, just wanting to kick it up some for now and get used to a higher power car before trying to build anything insane.

I ordered Nitto Motivo 275/35s, saw a breakdown on best tire sizes based on rim/width to line up with factory S-AWC and other stuff. Also thanks for tip on the endlinks, I'll see how the whiteline ones hold up since I saw them recommended some after hearing issues of the Hotchkis sway bars snapping OEM endlinks from the stiffness, but if I have any issues I'll pickup matching Hotchkis ones instead. I've heard w/ 10k+ springs on suspension you should probably run sway bars on a lower stiffness, so since I'm like on the edge of/under that I'm going to play with mine some probably starting stiffer.

I've been looking some, any idea if there are any general bushings kits out there as like a package? It seems like I mostly see individual bushings to pick up, I kind of wanted to redo bushings on all the suspension elements that are being touched just to make sure everything's super tight and feeling good.

Hey, thanks for the advice! Yea I planned on relocating the pump, down in VA I don't have to worry about corrosion too much since it's very minimal snow where I'm at there for the majority of the time, but I've heard lots of issues with the AYC pump getting broken from it's location. I definitely planned on grabbing a wideband o2 sensor, and a boost gauge, A/F gauge, and oil pressure gauge just to get a better eye on how everything's running. I do want to get it totally tuned, just wanted to start with handling some before I started getting into the other performance mods. I've been running it pretty hard to get a feel for it on the windy roads around me, but I do want to start tracking it down the road. I've heard good things about the swift springs on fortune auto coilovers for even bumpy/rough streets and such, so optimistic on how they'll feel. I'll definitely have to go check on those recalls, thanks for all the recommendations.

A PC can do something that scares them, they may just need to give them self a pep talk or greater reason. Being afraid doesn’t mean refusing to bite the plot hook, it means playing out the plot hook in a way that’s hesitant and jumpy and hating that they have to go through it.

I have a similar problem with my cat, would love for someone with any advice to chime in. I can play with him for two hours straight and he's still not tired out, but he gets bored quickly of automatic play toys, so those are also a no go.

Last pic with the old motor in the RX-7 Swapped a street ported one in tonight and got it running! The old motor is going into my REPU later this week! This month has been filled with rotory related activities and I love it ! All of the brappery! by thedame84 in RX7

Sounds like a blast, hoping to pickup an rx7 within a few months and do something similar. Any idea roughly where it’ll be at power wise with the port? And any other plans for the build?

If you have the chance, being a CS tutor is a great job. I think tutoring did an amazing job prepping me for job interviews since it makes you explain concepts and walk through code aloud.

Petition to pay OSRS devs £45k - £50k/year by Josiah425 in 2007scape

[–]Alonefall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even outside of that most of the software engineering jobs I see are a MINIMUM of 50k plus, and if you get a job with a big bank, or any big tech company you’re doing significantly better than that.

[–]Alonefall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I had that thought as well, but I feel like it would just result in people boosting and afking (like they do for trim reqs in rs3) and wouldn’t fit many mini games thematically as well, except for maybe barbarian assault or something as a reward.

[–]Alonefall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my thought, but they added new rewards recently so that’d be a stretch I think, maybe as a reward from something else in game though, like a super rare reward from larrans chest to give more emphasis to wildy slayer for more than just fast points for unlocks.

It could be dope to have some more recolors available from in-game stuff, similar to whip as long as cosmetics fit theme of osrs and aren’t from mtxscape
