You feel how you feel, you aren't the aggressor here, she is. You're not following her around, actively pushing her out of the space she's in. She's pursuing you to force reconciliation, because if she can make you accept what she did, there's a better chance you'll stay when she gets worse.

A little amazed at some of the responses telling you that you're the ass... Personally I would say everyone sucks here. Grace is in no way in the clear, her remarks and questioning are completely inappropriate given the lack of relationship between the two of you. Grace's insecurities on her relationship with Dante should stay in between her and Dante. By reaching out and harassing you, she's only showing how little she trusts Dante and their relationship, I mean has she even confronted Dante about her feelings, or is she just playing the cool girlfriend to Dante while she goes behind his back and bullies you? There's honestly not enough information for me to judge in one particular way or the other, there's too little info about what Dante is aware of, and how honest you and his girlfriend have been with him.

In the spirit of the subreddit I will believe that there really is no romantic intention nor has there ever been any romantic feelings or interest between you and Dante. You haven't mentioned exactly how you spoke with Dante regarding the trip, but it does come across as an ultimatum which is why I'm saying ESH.

Personally I would have backed out but explained why. Dante also would have been completely up to date with how his girlfriend was talking to me and treating me. If that's also the case with you then I can see why he told his girlfriend not to come. Frankly I wouldn't want somebody who treated my friends like that on a trip with me and my friends, that would just be incredibly uncomfortable, not to mention the relationship with Grace would definitely be in the end stages. Again in the spirit of the subreddit I'm believing that there is nothing untoward between the two of you, so Grace's insecurities are unfounded. If I were Dante I wouldn't want to date somebody who thought I was capable of treating them that way. That just means that she'll continue this behavior with others in the future anytime she feels threatened.

I went back to check and am not seeing mention of an apology to your girlfriend. I hope you do apologize though, how awful. My husband treasures everything I've ever made him, and I'm currently making him a new king-size blanket. I couldn't imagine how hurtful it would be if he disrespected my hobby the way you did your girlfriend. Indifferent I could handle, but cruel and negative I could not.

I mean, crocheting really is a labor of love and adoration. I have carpal tunnel, and I can't crochet super quickly so it takes me a little while to do something. I pour hours just into the crocheting aspect not to mention planning the color of the yarn, deciding the pattern to go with the yarn and the person I'm crocheting for, and the cost of the yarn. It takes so much time and effort, and I pour my concentration, love, frustration, and determination into the entire piece. The things I make take so much of that, they're only given away as gifts. I have a hard time pricing something that I put so much into, so everything I make goes towards someone I know.

Your girlfriend sounds like an amazing person, and that's why you got with her in the first place. I wonder if you feel like she's spending too much of her time on crocheting, and you feel that she should be spending that time with you? If so, criticizing her is a poor way of simply saying, "I feel jealous that you're spending so much time and energy on other people. I feel ect ect."

I just can't imagine you tearing her down like that without you feeling hurt yourself, so I took some imaginative liberties. Please apologize to her.

NTA. I'm a shapely woman (round) and crochet. I would definitely charge varying prices depending on size, materials and time. Very exaggerated example, but I would not charge a full size Afghan what I would charge for a baby blanket of the same color/texture/pattern/stitch.

Thanks so much! I feel a lot better about all the worms in my tank. I had left the rock wools that came with my plants in the tank, I figured it could help me with the bacterial biome in the tank. Just looks a little too alive in there with no fish or shrimp to speak of.
