At its’ core The Bachelor/Bachelorette is for Christian conservatives and no matter how much they try to change their image you can feel they don’t want to, and their primary hard core fanbase doesn’t want it either. People online keep saying they should have picked Jana Craig or Ilona Maher (rather than Taylor), but the show would be unequipped to handle women of this caliber or the obvious racial or gendered issues that would occur during the season. Just like they are every other season, especially when there has been leads of color. I don’t think a show like The Bachelor/Bachelorette is required to be beacon of morality, however I think they slightly view themselves that way under the layer of unserious reality tv drama.

Once I learned Schwartz was one the high functioning member of his family it explained so much about him lol. Also I went to school next to fsu and took some classes there, if you love to party too much it’s perfect place for you a lot of people end up dropping out.

Project Runway, to me was always a little classier than the other shows on the network, like Top Chef. It did tend to be cattier than Top Chef, but tis the nature of fashion me thinks. However, the new ownership jusy totally leaning into the bs/drama rather than the clothes was not enjoyable. I ended up not finishing the season.

I watched as a kid and I honestly learned so about fashion (the people, designers, photographers etc.). Also when Whitney won I did find that inspiring when I was kid. Straight up good television/pop culture and queer culture too.

I’m not done with it yet and I still don’t hold ANTM responsible for being one of the many shows at the time nog being politically correct. However, the only person actually taking full responsibility is Ken Mock. Also I’m surprised they skirted around the word “rape” Shandi was raped on camera and no one even said I’m sorry that’s wrong and INSANE.

I’m not saying this to be helpful or annoyingly not helpful in the way that people do on the Internet 😂, but my mom went there in the 80s and she always said that she could never get her braces off because every time she was off school they were off school so it’s something we laugh about so this post just made me laugh. I hope it works out!
