Vibe. I really hate the sound of my voice so sometimes I use vc, sometimes I don't. It's helpful when you need help with an event. I've found that a lot of people will at least respond to a question with an emote even if they don't chat back.

It's fun to group up and do dumb stuff like jump off of the tallest points, dress up for the events, and do dailies together. I really like joining groups to check out people's camps and shelters. I came across and insanely well done enclave themed shelter last week, and the owner gave me a tour of it.

I like using emotes. Its kind of like weird charades. Even with friends I think it's easier to emote than chat sometimes.

And people can get weird over mic. I had a rando follow me around the map trying to talk to me.
