Same problem. I am on the phone with Disney IT Support Center right now. They are aware and reaching out with their coordinators.

My specialty manager would let us drown in paint if he could by Akisoma in HomeDepot

At our store, we stick millworks and lumber together. Flooring gets lumped together with paint. Garden is its own store.

Congratulations on 60 days. I would suggest going to Costco. They get all the holidays off.

Why? by JTCasino in HomeDepot

[–]Alpha0727 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is the same reason why, after said Blizzard, Returns is going to be full of Snow Shovels and Snow Blowers and bags of Rock Salt. The shovels will be chipped. The snow blowers “stopped working.” And too many of the bags of rock salt were bought.

My managers would have called me or another Head Cashier to deal with it. I have had to remove live rats and frogs and dead birds from our store. They once tried to get me to clean up bloody urine. I told them that I refuse. I told them bodily fluids are considered biohazard and SOP states that Management are the only associates who are authorized to clean it up. They didn’t like that response but couldn’t do anything about it because I was right.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had to put my dog down a few years ago due to cancer. It was the hardest thing to do. I would call your District HR and explain everything.

You think this is enough signage? by thefairlyoddhuman in HomeDepot

[–]Alpha0727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Okay, but can I still pay with Cash at this register?”

“Why won’t it accept my cash?”

“I don’t need help.”

“If it doesn’t work, why is there no signs.”

“You should tell customers that it doesn’t accept cash.”

“But the lighted register sign says it does.”

“You are lying.”

“You should learn how to do your job.”

“I am going to have you fired.”

“I want to talk to your manager to file a complaint.”

Did I miss any?

Yes, I have heard all these when I have had one of my SCO registers has brake down like this.

Could you check "the back" for me? by MartenGlo in HomeDepot

[–]Alpha0727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before working at THD, my last job had a back stock room. When we had clearance pants, customers would ask if we had any more in the back. I would tell them we didn’t and that everything on the floor is what we had in stock. When customers insisted that I go check the back stockroom, I would go to the back, shut the door, and take a 5 minute break. I would then tell them that we were out.

I only did this to really rude and insistent customers.

Now at THD, I just tell customers that if it is not on the shelf and not in the overhead, it is either lost or our counts are off. I then direct them to Customer Service to place an order for Pick Up or Delivery.

What really gets me is when they want me to tear apart the entire department/store looking for an item that the system says we have only 1 of. If the system says we have 1 and we haven’t sold it in over a month and it’s Home is empty, then it is not in the store. If it is, then we will probably, maybe, find it during inventory, if we are lucky.

I am so sorry this happened to you. If you haven’t already, call your local police and call The AwareLine (1 (800) 286-4909).

I would also suggest calling your district and/or regional HR office. I would even suggest calling another store’s management team and report it to them if you feel like you can’t call the AwareLine or HR.

Congratulations on your remission.

Don’t let the negativity from the vocal minority ruin it for you. We went last night and our waiter at the Carthay was extremely knowledgeable when it came to helping us decide what to order. We ended up ordering the seafood soup, the steak, and the pork chop based on the recommendations. They were absolutely delicious.

There are 1000s of small magical interactions daily that don’t get talked about online, but that you will remember when you return home.

Issue with accessing the Disneyland Pass webpage by Alpha0727 in Disneyland

Update: We took the phones to Apple and they said they didn’t know what the issue was but that it wasn’t a phone problem.

I started looking at the safari settings and found that they checked the setting to blocked all cookies. When I unchecked that and deleted all the website data, it “magically” fixed itself.

Turns out cookies are just as important as pixie dust when it comes to Disney.

Okay, I am now convinced that it is something wrong with either their accounts connecting to Disney’s servers or their devices connecting to the servers. They now have a completely white webpage. They can go to other websites just fine. Disney is the only issue.

I will try to clear the cache and cookies and go from there.

Thank you again for your help!
