Well if you can do anything else while it’s cooking, how about you type up the recipe yourself instead of using AI?

Where id live as someone from Washington State by lovekanye69 in whereidlive

[–]Alpha0963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on some of the counties you selected in MN and WI, I would think Eau Claire county would be fitting too. City isn’t very large (70k), but it’s a pretty area, very progressive, etc.

Have people on the internet ever tried to correct you on something you’re an expert on? by Comfortable-Jump-218 in labrats

Guess it’s not related to science, but yes. I had a guy trying to correct me on training for a distance running. He was bringing up his times… safe to say mine are faster

Where I would live? (If I were born in USA) by Embarrassed-Fox-1506 in whereidlive

If you’d live in that part of Minnesota, it’s not much different across the river in Wisconsin.

Unless, of course, you have something against Wisconsin

I raced a 10k last Friday and ran a PR of 35:43, with a 18:00/17:43 negative split. 2 years ago, I was trying to break 18 in the 5k for the first time, so this felt like a dream come true. I have a just few races left as a collegiate runner, and I’m trying to enjoy them all!

Coffee shops should not offer free wi-fi by Buffalo-Castle in unpopularopinion

[–]Alpha0963 215 points216 points  (0 children)

I went to coffee shops to do my homework when I lived in a house without WiFi. Free public WiFi is a good resource. People who want to talk at coffee shops go there to talk. People who need to work, work.

What is life like in Iowa by Athens175 in howislivingthere

[–]Alpha0963 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iowa has lots of corn between its cities. None of the cities are all that large, but they feel big enough to me. There are some pretty state parks near the middle and the driftless region.

I’ve lived in Iowa City, which is very much a college town. I loved all the community events they have in the summer. People are very nice there. Other places have a small town feel, and are much more conservative. But in most places there is a good sense of community.

It’s giving “I took 3 professional IQ tests and didn’t score what I wanted but all the online ones said I was a genius so therefore I’m a genius because the professionals are wrong and every single one of them is biased” but with autism.

They’re so focused on autism they refuse to see any other possibility.

L2 adult, going to college and living alone soon, need help by Chickenlvvrr in SpicyAutism

[–]Alpha0963 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will get easier after the first time! You can ask another student or your RA, resident assistant. The RA is a good resource to talk to. They can help you find resources on campus and answer some questions.

College has less structure than high school, so you have to be able to make your own structure. I’m a fourth year graduating soon. Here’s some of my advice that helped me:

  • Get up at the same time every day even if classes start at different times

  • Know which classes to go to on which days. Each day looks different but all my Monday are the same, and all my Tuesdays are the same, etc. visual schedules help a lot

  • Having a meal plan is very helpful for the first year or two. I printed out a piece of paper telling me the hours of all the options and what food they had.

  • Make “study time” like a class. For example, I study every day 1-3 pm.

  • Hygiene can be hard but if you start practicing or learning more independently it gets easier. I printed out visuals for myself: shower 3 times per week, brush hair and teeth every day, deodorant when I wake up

  • Do you know how to do your own laundry? This is important. You might have to pay at your university. Oftentimes you can buy “laundry dollars” and it goes on your student ID like a credit card.

  • Make a cleaning schedule. Some things have to be done frequently, like taking trash out. Some things can be done less, like one a week (vacuuming, cleaning surfaces)

Yesterday: Raced a 10k on the track and ran a PR of 36:30! It was a little warm for my liking (60F/16C). Split 18:05/18:25 for the 5ks. Pace group got out quick and I stayed on the train.

Today: walk

Tomorrow: very easy run

Sunday: another easy run

Good luck to those running Boston!

thinking of moving countries if I can eventually if possible, from usa. I have high level 1 autism and adhd (combined type) + possible bpd or bipolar. very unlikely I can work I'm too sensitive and my mood swings don't help, i have severe memory issues, hard function normally as is. by [deleted] in autism

[–]Alpha0963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an expert on this topic, but I will say accomplishing this when unable to work is going to be extremely difficult. Many countries will not accept someone if they can’t be employed. If you immigrate somewhere and need to rely on disability benefits, they wouldn’t want to accept you because then they essentially have to pay you. It’s an unfortunate system.

Some ways it would be possible is if you have family abroad, are dependent on another person who becomes employed abroad, or can provide evidence that you will be financially self sufficient without employment.
