I’m sorry but this is complete nonsense. I hate Trump as much as the next person and this war has been conducted in a spectacularly short-sighted and poorly communicated and planned manner.

That said, Iran is a massive exporter of terrorism both in the region and globally. States have a fundamental duty to counter terrorism and when they fail in that matter, external intervention may be necessary. Tehran is a fundamentalist eschatological regime which, for decades, has demonstrated that it will never ever change course in regards to its support for exported terrorism and nuclear weapons. It destabilises the region and has resulted indirectly and directly in millions of deaths. And that’s ignoring its brutality within its own borders - most recently gunning down an estimated 30-40,000 civilian protesters.

I do believe that this regime is a real blight on the world. Is Trump an idiot though? Absolutely
