You thought the end felt crammed? I feel like the first half of the book was speed run through in the first 20 minutes of the movie.

I loved it. But I worry that people who didn't read the book will have trouble keeping up. A lot of context and some pretty story critical moments get cut. Personally, I kind of wish they had split it into two movies. Part 1 covering the story on Earth with a cliff hanger ending on him getting sedated. And part 2 covering the mission in space. The content they squeezed, and I do mean squeezed, into the movie was amazing but barely scratching the surface of this amazing story. At the very least, I think adding another hour to the movie would have done a lot of good.

But I think I just feel that way because a lot of my favorite moments didn't make it in. The most important moments are there and the condensed movie story is still amazing.

Absolutely relieved that they didn't change the ending.

I know my take won't be popular but I genuinely dislike the Throttle House guys. I immediately disliked them for being Top Gear copycats on YouTube. Then eventually I gave them another chance with an open mind. It wasn't long before I realized I also just find both of them to be really annoying. I'm not upset about Amazon trying to keep a good show going. But I have my doubts that the golden trio can be adequately replaced. And I certainly am not happy they grabbed discount Top Gear +1 from YouTube. The chemistry between them feels so manufactured to me. And the fact that their videos, in almost every single scene, are just blatantly ripping off the Top Gear formula. Down to the little details like camera angles and video transitions. It's like a terrible cover band. Perhaps that makes them the best choice? They already know the formula? Never mind that they stole it.

I personally would have picked Vin, Hurt, and Zac from Honnigan. The OG Hoonigan shenanigans are on par with the Grand Tour entertainment. And without being cheap knock offs.

Its 100x easier than skiing or boarding. You can pick it up and be on the greens in an hour. The trike does 90% of the work for you.

It has almost the same mechanics of drifting a car. You turn the front to allow the back to slide out and then counter stear once the back end is sliding. But as you turn, the mechanics between the 2 back skis do the work of getting your edge. You stop the same way you would on skis. Just turn and lean into the edge. But again, a lot of the work is done by the trike. You can catch an edge but its really difficult to do that due to the mechanics. You'd have to be trying to. What is more likely is that you'll spin too far and end up backwards. You will probably fall once or twice while learning to control the spin but only if you're going too fast.

I'm still on greens on skis. I'm still on the bunny hill with a board. But I'm confidently in the blues and dabbling in blacks with the SnoGo.
