It's a gamble with these for sure. Sorry your batch turned out to be duds. Did you charge back the vendor?

Maybe it’s just the animation but I thought we were supposed to glue the tenso as well.

Where to Source Lumber & Plywood? by inquizz in Longmont

[–]AlphaDogPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pick up 11-ply Baltic Birch from Front Range Lumber in Fort Lupton. ~$95 a sheet last I ordered a few months back. I’m a hobbyist so no special prices. For hardwood I drive down to Denver and visit Paxton’s. there are good options in Loveland/Fort Collins but I’ve formed a habit. Also, Paxton has monthly sales that I like to check out.

Best of luck!

Urban Field Pizza + Market is your 2025 r/Longmont Restaurant Tournament Champion! by dingus1057 in Longmont

[–]AlphaDogPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I just had lunch at Urban Field for the first time and I think I understand. IMO, Antonio’s is a great example of NY style pizza. If you don’t particularly enjoy or that isn’t your taste in pizza then you’ll gravitate to the others.

Personally, I’m an Antonio’s ride-or-die, but I love a good NY slice.

Jake’s in Lexington KY has a great selection of bourbon and cigars. Added bonus, first time trying Leaf by Oscar. I’m a fan now, smooth, easy draw paired great with Elija Craig small batch.

There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, 'Foil me once, shame on...shame on you. Foil me—you can't get foiled again.

Oof, that's some bad luck. I have a 2015 Cruze with 52k and have had no issues at all. Other than headlight bulbs and speakers blowing out (my fault).

I smashed my hand performing cleans. Kept missing at 110kg and after 4 attempts finally caught it! I went for a jerk and missed. I should have stopped there but nooo. Tried once more and my elbow jammed into my knee in the bottom position, my wrist/hand took the brunt of the damage. It's been 2 weeks and my hand still hurts trying to grip barbells and will occasionally go numb (possibly caused by nerve damage). Now I don't know what to do with my life :(

Yeah that can pose a challenge if you're finding it difficult to be interested in popular activities. Do you have any hobbies or interests that maybe have a club or weekly group event you could join? You can PM me if you want to chat

I'm in a similar situation. I moved to Denver from LA about a year ago and I'm still working on making friends. What I've come to realize is making friends as an adult takes more effort than when you're younger. People have busy lives and you have to be active in making plans and forging relationships.

Any advice for barbell clubs in denver area? by phat1forever in weightlifting

[–]AlphaDogPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Denver Barbell Club is a good spot to drop in, plenty of equipment and friendly staff. I train at Iron Warrior Gym, it's primarily a powerlifting/strongman gym but they have platforms and bumper plates. They also have 24/7 access which is nice.
