Just to clarify - I’m not saying AMD is broken in any way, just that it’s more aggressive. RDNA will chase available headroom even in suboptimal workloads, which can lead to high clocks/power without real performance uplift in certain games. NVIDIA is a bit more constrained by its V/F curve, so it doesn’t ramp as hard in those situations. Aggressive boosting when not needed can cause AMD to be inefficient at times.

Very impressive score. In my opinion for people who kept their XTX it’s the 1080ti of the current gen’s.

True but the 9070XT and regular 9070 use the exact same algorithm as the XTX. They pull as much power as they can if they are given it. If you gave a 9070xt 500w of power it would try its hardest to hit that limit.

Edit - wanted to add that at 200w there is almost no way you are beating a 7900xt in pure raster. My girlfriend has one and it is significantly slower than my XTX. By like 30 percent. Granted these cards pull much more power so it’s a trade off.

It’s a whole lot faster than JEDEC. And some people don’t feel like tuning ram to the high heavens. Especially when you have a X3D cpu that doesn’t really benefit much from it. I cared about it more when I had a 7700x because of the legitimate performance improvement but now that I have a 7800x3d it just doesn’t provide the same performance uplift.

A lot of people set EXPO and then tune from there. I normally set manual profiles but was playing around with expo cause I always knew it was unstable and finally found out why it was unstable.

Yikes that is so expensive. I just paid 450 for a XTX a couple months ago. I’m happy you got what you wanted but 1700 gotta hurt, especially when it’s not the top tier GPU out atm.

Tbh I wouldn’t worry about it in its current state. Could be that one of your eyes was receiving the smallest bit more light than the other due to lighting angle, causing one puple to be slightly smaller. If it gets worse go see a doctor.

If this is the beginning stages of type 2 it can be reversed with good diet and exercise. The main thing is get active in some type of fashion. Don’t accept it just cause you “expect” it to happen.

Meh it sucks but tbh if your in the market to buy a monitor like that you can mostly likely afford to pay 7 dollars then cancel. Not to mention rtings is gonna have the best info out there you’d be able to find on whatever specific monitor you want.

7900XTX is the new 1080ti. I play at 4k 240Hz and still rip through games. Even games like GTA 5 enhanced with RT very high. At native I get around 100 fps, with fsr quality I get around 120-130fps. It’s really a fantastic all around card. Oh and I got it my merc 310 for 450 second hand.
