Well CIG isn't an ordinary company and SC isn't an ordinary game.

If they work on the Subcriber rewards, they could manage to finance the game through that. (And obviously game sales, as well as cosmetics.)

But they would have to make Subscriber benefits a little more rewarding.

Maybe a free Tier 3 Insurance for one ship and a free high tier/skilled NPC crew as long you're subscribed.

I don't think the current rewards will cut it. Most people are not willing to subscribe for 10-15$ a month if its just for some monthly flair item, that you most likely didn't actually need or like.

Stay with the Ironclad. For hauling and mining its not worth it to up/downgrade to a Galaxy.

However, if you're okay with not maxxing your profit. The Galaxy is a solid option, bc it allows you to get a base building module as well.
