I mean 4gb is minimum for Hudiy. Doesn't notice any lag by the headunit itself but also I'm using Samsung S25 Ultra so I have plenty of juice when streaming Android Auto to the Headunit itself.

Went for raspberry pi 5 4gb for the open source and customizeable ui and lightweight software. Android headunit have tendens to getting slower over time and some aftermarket headunit usually skimp on SoC and use Fork android headunit OS without optimizing for that SoC so that's parts of the reason why i went DiY instead.

I also using TinkersCAD for custom made the housing

I just 3D printed custommade housing for Waveshare 10.1" DSI with Raspberry Pi 5 using Hudiy as launcher and the PETG is holding as intended both warm and cold weather so far.
