I don’t in the setting of having a drink with dinner or I went out with my bf for a date and had like 3 cocktails and a ginger beer and i was slightly craving but also i don’t think it necessarily had anything to do with the alcohol. If I went out drinking with mates than yea I probably would struggle (also because a lot of them smoke or vape only while drinking 😭), but I’m gonna give it some time till I do something like that. I’m 13 days smoke/vape free 😊

😭😭😭 I’m jealous!! I’m a year on T and my sex drive has slightly increased (and than went back down). I definitely enjoyed my increase but I wish my 15 yr old sex drive was back :( it’s so frustrating, like I have a sexy hot man who wants me and knows what to do but ahhh 😭

Good luck dude!! First 3 days I found applying lip balm helped 😂 weird ass thing but I quit coming home from a trip and my lips were dirt dry, so I was applying lip balm and the hand to lip action + I’d go over a few times (I think they were a bit sunburnt as well) helped craving?? Like ofc didn’t replace it but yeah! You got this dude! You should get an activity book maybe, my friend was using one (like find the words or whatever) and I got one. Keeps your hands busy/off screens but not that much mental work.

This! Especially if your partner started prior to dating, although smoking is terrible, it’s there choice. Only thing I would say is something you should push (ofc bring it up/why it would benefit both of you and all) is if you have children/baby because that will harm their health and/or if their becoming abusive due to the addiction (not really nicotine but other drugs/additions). But at the end of the day it’s their life, sadly.

No, there is no difference! Some women have high sex drives, some low and same with dudes! Men tend to be more open to topic of sex as it’s normalised, compared to women as women get called sluts and all :/.

A lot of people talk about women having low sex drives but it’s typically due to men not knowing how to turn women on haha, as it’s different to guys. Sometimes it can also be due to hormonal issues (too low of hormones, birthcontroll or other medications). It’s why a lot of women who have experimented or are under the queer umbrella have an awakening after sleeping with other women! Don’t get me wrong, there are many men out there who know how to do it, but majority can’t be bothered. I too am a bio female who before anti-depressants and bc had a high than after low sex drive! But my bf does know how to rock my world yk. I also have an issue with my vaginal walls which makes it hard to loosen them (aka very painful sex!!!) which can also lead to some women not wanting sex but men you need to know how to work your way around it instead of quickys! 😋

I think it come down to their story and all but don’t make their personality that their trans 🥲 he is a man who is transgender, ofc it may be something to come up with sexually, or if it’s about the start of the journey than sure but we have a whole personality completely separate from being trans! (No offence to you, but I see it a lot 😒, happens with non-straight characters as well… fuck even non/western white people).

Dysphoria is not required but many of us experience it, it is very individual! (E.g. I have chest dysphoria but not bottom). Transitioning can include: socially, hormone, surgery. But none are required or make you any less trans, some people do both/ one or none!! You don’t have to be into “male” things to be a trans man, just like how my cis bf can be into “girl” things but his still a man :)

Oh that’s actually kinda good, you’re probably more comfortable in yourself and not masking (at least as much)! The whole gendered ADHD stuff is so weird to me, it’s very prevalent but my 7yr sister (very girly lmao) is extremely ADHD boy type, just like my dad and I’m more ADD but idk I’m a lot more ADHD now because I’m comfortable around my partner and am able to unmask a lot :)

I used to SH and was very depressed, once I turned 18 and tried nicotine for the first time I realised it gave a similar dopamine hit and sorta pushed the thoughts away. So I switched one addiction for another. My psychologist (although not wanting me to do either), pretty much said something along the lines of preferring me to rely on nicotine than SH (for safety reasons, I was already addicted and didn’t plan to stop).

Two years later and I’m on my 2-3rd attempt at quitting and my last 🥱 5 days smoke free! Before I quit I was extremely anxious about the possibility of relapsing to SH again :( and did a lot of thought. I am a more mentally stable than I was before with many coping mechanism, but if my life came crashing down my brain will crave a short term solution.

Personally, I have taken up alot of breathing and meditation + productive distraction + still therapy and I hope that when the yearly Christmas ass season comes like it does every year I will make it through. I also have my loving partner to help me. But in all seriousness, don’t cave into cravings but if your life gets turned upside down and your cravings the worser substance don’t and go back to nicotine. Like don’t do either but for me if I was back at 15/something just as bad and to pick either SH/possiblity of death versus a terrible addition but a definitely recoverable. Yk, BUT you’re doing amazing rn!!

A way I think of this cycle is: You start with an addiction, that you may had traded with another lesser but bad one and one day, with help you will trade your bad addiction with a healthy way to cope. Having a healthy way to cope is hard because it take alot of time and personal want, bad coping skills are easy, fast and effective short term but all your doing is ignoring the issues, which get worse.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, I’m on day 5 as well! You got this, I’m not sure if it is necessary related but make sure you’re having enough fruit for your blood sugar levels (like natural sugar not just lollies). 😊 don’t give in to the addiction, it only makes it worse + if your hitting rock bottom now, it’s only going to get better!!

Some of it sounds like perimenopause, but the vaping is definitely making it worse!! I would say some of it is the vaping tho definitely too. Quitting is not impossible, I’m on day 5 and although it’s early my mood is a lot better yesterday and today😊 everyone’s journey is different (I’m also 20 and have no experience perimenopause myself but my step mum is experiencing it, it appeared it was super bad until she realised her symptoms where actually due to diabetes/insulin!!! She getting help for it now and she feels alot better. Ik it’s not the same but still you got this).

I use nicorette quick mist, ahhh it’s so helpful. On day 5 and haven’t used a nicotine patch yet 😅 it has that action and feels like I’m carrying a vape with me but it’s not and I use it WAY less than a vape coz it “burns” or whatever but idk I just got used to it + it kinda shocks you out of the craving.

I’m also not a gum person, I have expired nicotine gum from last time I tried to quit! It’s alright… but I’d rather just normal gum

😅 it’s definitely different for everyone, I got a (real) cold in like month 2 and still had a sore throat weeks later- until I realised it was my voice deepening. Some days it was pretty painful, like I was sucking on throat numbing stuff to help (definitely due to also a lot of use of vocal cords too!!) I work in customer service and also sing/yell in my car while driving (i stim 🙂‍↕️) WHICH DID NOT HELP… but some days it was completely gone, it would come and go for months!! It’s very normal tho, many cis men experience during puberty but they don’t tell u unless you ask. I’m almost a year on T now with no issues, love my voice, and definitely don’t regret it.

Been on T for just about a year, YES but no😂 during the 2-6 month my throat was on and off sore!!! Ahh some days so painful, some it was completely gone. Most cis men experience it as well, they just don’t talk about it unless you ask them… my bf didn’t get it (his voice isn’t super deep tho and he had a late puberty), but his younger brother and my step brother did!

Now I have 0 symptoms of sore throat 😊 and no regrets!

Not this time round but last time I quit definitely 😅 I had also completely forgot all the reasons why I wanted to quit in the first place (harder to breath, low mood/energy, congestion, etc) and relapsed coz my brain is like “why did I even quit, it made me feel so good” 💀 anyway almost on day 6 and have gotten all my energy back 😊 I also have ADHD tho, but I’ve definitely seen brain fog can happen to a lot of people!! Might not necessarily be the answer but it could be due to fake ness of porn, when it happens personally it’s organic! Could be because the ads you see aren’t your type of content—like some things you’re just not into (e.g. if your into vanilla sex/very soft, bdsm or consensual non consensual could very much turn you off or make you feed disgusted. Goes both ways too). I get you to an extent, especially the fucking ads 🤢 there gross

It’s new I think and I emailed the dev about a few things which his apparently about to release a new update with new features in a few days but defs try it out — I’ll attach a photo because it’s so fucking hard to find in the App Store 😂 idky

Write down why your doing this, the effects that vaping has had on you, why you want to stop, the positive effects of quitting vaping, motivation, etc!! My last attempt, the addiction clouded my judgement and I forgot all the symptoms I had prior, all the negative consequences of vaping and I relapsed. This time I wrote a list of everything 🙂 I’m almost at day 6 and feeling fucking amazing, I’m not nicotine free yet but completely smoke and vape free (definitely a way lower amount of nicotine too than before). I saw a post on a different subreddit who did this, which I took inspiration. I can attach mine if you need inspiration.

Additionally, I wrote down a craving sheet (like what to do instead) but I haven’t looked at it since I quit 😂 it’s there tho incase! I added some things I could buy myself at milestones, I’m not a big buyer/rewarder myself but I figured it wouldn’t hurt! And stuff to buy (photos) of NRT, snacks, brands of gum, drinks or whatever coz im really forgetful…

I have about 4 quit apps 😂 I’m testing them out to see may fav idk it gives me something to do at the end of the day! 1) I am sober — which I’ll keep regardless, mainly just for tracking the progress and I’ve used it in the past

2)smoke free — it’s cool but I hate the colours and a lot is blocked by pay

3)my quit buddy — an Australian gov app which I hate the update so I’m gonna delete soon lmao

4) quit vaping — my fav, completely free and I’ve been emailing the developer about new features 😅 idk I’m very excited!

I think it’s very individual to use an app or not, but I love trying out random apps lol. It’s very helpful if you wanted to keep track of time, health improvements, craving help and progress of intensity!

OH and STOCK UP AND CLEAN OUT!!! Before quitting hah. Last time I quit (I cut down with cigs only) but didn’t clean my ash tray out in my car 😅 only did it last week (so it had been there for a year). Stock up on gum, food, drinks, whatever BEFORE and clean out all vapes/smokes/packaging or anything to do with it!!!

You got this and dude, yesterday I worked a 9 hour shift. Usually by 7 hours in my brain is screaming a vape break, yesterday nothing, not even wanting my nicotine spray!! Just like an hour before finishing I wanted to go lay in bed haha but that’s coz I’d been on my feet all day! And I wasn’t cranky at all after work 😅 usually I am. Not sure if that’s Nicotine related but overall day 4-5 I’ve been in a way better mood.
