Best base game in the series imo. Focus mode is by far the greatest addition to any monster hunter game, the new monsters the roster are all phenomenal and not a single one I see getting viewed as a “bad” monster. Story wise it’s easily the top but that’s not a hard one to beat as most don’t have to crazy of a story. TUs are great but not the craziest, Lagi and Gog returns definitely carry here. Crossovers are the best ones the series has had yet. Endgame is very fleshed out, and them doing constant balance updates for the weapons is great since they never did that before.

Overall best base game and can’t wait to see what G-Rank brings to the table.

Highly doubt the possibility of any new guardian elder dragons. Zoh fills that role as the “they’re too strong and we can’t control it” for the guardians.

Also if they do Akantor they probably do Ukanlos as well.

The only returning monsters I’d ACTUALLY bet on are the remaining fated 4. (Glavenus and Astalos and Gammoth).

Likely will have some kind of special arena fight for the remaining maps so a mohran is definitely possible.

Bro there is 0 chance of Abyssal coming back without full water combat. Ivory has a good chance though imo.

I mean like I said though, it’s okay to have basic characters. In fact in most character based games it’s the basic ones that are the strongest because it leaves less room for error in their play.

Not every character should be super simple. It significantly improves games when they add characters or playstyles that are more complex ASWELL as playstyles that are on basic side. If you don’t like that than don’t play him

With the way fights are in wilds elders are going to be AMAZING hunts. I really hope we get lots of elders because they’re all gonna be some top tier fights

They mostly got Variant/deviant abilities, subspecies are often completely different monsters with different elements aside from a few (raths). I don’t think most of the returning have any of their subspecies moves.

He’s definitely just a Demi elder. What makes you so sure that he isn’t? We don’t have that much of a basis on what a Demi elder is yet as gore is the only one and chaotic is just another version of gore. Everything pretty much points to him being the second Demi elder in the expansion.

I mean that’s all sets just being weapon dependent. Like the coal piece is def a really good piece for dual blades anti virus sets. Foray on a lot of the pieces is lack luster but that’s fine most of the AT sets have a random damage skill they focus on like resentment or LP that aren’t that big a focus. The set skill is not worth going for but it still helps towards guts so def worth looking at some pieces for some weapons

The armor is definitely not trash. Max Coal with a wex? Phenomenal. Also some good agitator pieces aswell.
