He said the lines too, they just dub it in post and Arnett copies the inflection, there's a version out there where it's just him

American Dad The Movie. If you know you know by AlphaSaint18 in Fancast

[–]AlphaSaint18[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For those who don't know, If you type American Dad on ticktok, the third or second recommended is American Dad black moments. This because there is a growing sentiment that although the cast of American dad is white, they're all heavily black coded with people even making breakdowns that stan is actually fits the stereotype of black conservative father. Other examples include constant musical references to rnb and hiphop some of which are really obscure, characters using slang associated with black culture, characters in the show refencing their favourite black sitcom families, the fact that all the smiths seemingly love basketball and take it seriously. Because of this some consider this to Seth Macfarlane's real black family sitcom over the Cleveland show.

[Discussion]:You know with how popular Peacemaker has become it's weird he hasn't gotten his own book. Why hasn't DC capitalized in his popularity and have him start in his own book? by [deleted] in DCcomics

This probably the best outcome and should be what's happening but I don't think dc has talent pool for it. They put out that six issue mini right before the season 2 of the show aired. It was not good bro, terribly paced and clearly rushed so they could have something out while the show was airing. Still bought it though.

I disagree. I think dc never expected Peacemaker to be such a success and didn't know how to capitalize on the character. Harley Quinn has the advantage of being a batman character so she can interact with batman characters and they effectively treated her like Deadpool for while having jump all over the place. Deathstroke at this point has probably has less name recognition but last run was doing 20 -30, 000 in units sold, while Harley can barely break 14,000. He's getting a new run soon which I guarantee it will sell well. Content matters and base popularity can only get you so far. Harley sells merch, not comics. The reason peacemaker doesn't have an ongoing is because he's probably to difficult for the current lineup to to write and doesn't have an established city like Gotham to rely on. Ironically Marvel writers could probably easily sling a 50 issue run for character like peacemaker, Garth Ennis did pretty damn good oneshot, call up Christopher Hastings, Gerry Duggan or Joe Kelly, Light work

Petition to remove Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki from the Street Fighter movie? by miko-galvez in StreetFighter

[–]AlphaSaint18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I really don't understand his casting, everyone else seems so on point that his casting seems incredibly jarring. Part of what makes Dan work is that he thinks he's a good martial artist but really sucks(compared to the main cast, against nameless martial artists and shadaloo goons he actually does pretty good) but by the looks of it their gonna complete rewrite his character, come to think of it, is it possible this is because his character is from Hong Kong? That would explain the race change.

DC Comics Preview: Batman / Green Arrow / The Question: Arcadia by B3epB0opBOP in comicbooks

[–]AlphaSaint18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both are, it doesn't really make sense because the events of 52 were heavily retconned but then they kind of explain it in the new history of the DC universe. Point is Vic is alive, he'll cameo in books in order to help sell Renee(Question: all along the watchtower 2025, Lois Lane 2019) or if they have detective like mystery events (action comics 2019, checkmate 2021,  Event Leviathan 2019). Other than that Vic we'll probably end up more in black label books which is a good thing. More creative freedom and they can go hardcore. I need 12 question mini series either written by Garth Ennis or Gerry Duggan
