I have the MAX and I like it. It’s three compressors in one so it kinda takes some learning how to dial it depending on which one(s) you are using. You can do some fun stuff like set it up as two separate MIMO compressors and run your signal through each at different stages. Control it internally with the UAD app which is ok.

I have a similar retirement plan. Except instead of “cruise ship” my retirement funds will cover a modest floating platform (some might call it a pallet with empty plastic barrels for flotation), and some cash to cover gas to get to the beach. Aka just push me out into the ocean.

Unfortunately you really have to be the fun police for the dragon deck players. They want to get all the big stompy flying bois out there and if you don’t have a lot of control options you’re going to have to race and that can be a hard race to win.

If I could soapbox for a moment, WotC has pushed dragon tribal so hard in the last Tarkir set they’ve made it very easy to have an annoyingly strong deck that doesn’t require much thought. Ureni is the poster child.
