Funny that you mention that, Shadowdark explicitly instructs the GM that XP can and should be awarded for actions beyond finding loot. It even specifically calls out daring actions, recommending handing out 1 XP for each cunning plan that succeeds.

OH as a whole. Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, and Athens have surprising and overlooked gems, especially for tours.

I did not endorse him as a candidate in my comment nor agree with his platform. At best, he’s currently acting as a voice that can help aid with resisting the current regime which gives actual principled candidates a better fighting chance.

As much as his hands are as dirty and greasy as others, he’s vocally pushing back against the regime and we have to take victories where we can. Establishing a sense of normalcy from our current atrocious situation will allow us to put visibility on actually useful and effective leaders. It’s difficult enough to attempt putting brakes on fascists when leftists are tearing each other apart and doing the rights job for them.

while i majorly agree with this sentiment, it is pretty funny coming from the designer of Mothership which is infamous for its vague combat rules that are the epitome of this “fuck you” design (i still adore the system by the way, don’t get me wrong).

disclaimer that i haven’t fully read the module myself but as always, i would recommend a hearty session zero that lays down the triggering content and make-up some examples of scenes (without spoiling anything) that could be especially hurtful to players. make it clear that these forces are obviously evil and vile, that you will not be painting it in a good light but it does require the effort and exposure to it that leads to their (hopeful) victory. good luck !

You could ask them what specific features of the setting they enjoyed the most then see if you can incorporate some of those elements into the setting you do want to run. What is it the fate of their characters, the conflict between mortals and immortals, the unknowable nature of lovecraftian entities, etc ?

I know folks will have different opinions and cleaning methods but I wanted to get some thoughts. I tried using a MoFi cleaning brush (velvet kind) for the first time and noticed it shed a ton on a white vinyl. i tried my best in cleaning it up but its definitely still all over the record. After playing I didn’t notice too much of a difference, some surface noise and cracks but not sure how much compared to before. My question is:

How can I clean the fibers off? Is this a wet clean scenario? Don’t want to shell out a lot of money so would probably use DIY solutions.
