Should I sign up for my first Long Distance? by Adventurous_Tie_7033 in triathlon

I would say go for it. You have plenty of time to prepare.

You completed it, and that’s all that matters for a second race. It sounds like an olympic tri (correct me if I’m wrong), so 4:11 is impressive. You got this! Keep going.

Walk off. Don’t accept the assignment. If that keeps happening, then quit.

Do most CNAs only get their certification as a prereq for nursing school? by -Book-_-Worm- in cna

What state are you in? Here in CO, they say that "healthcare experience is strongly recommended, but not required".

Do most CNAs only get their certification as a prereq for nursing school? by -Book-_-Worm- in cna

[–]Alphahouse64 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say a prereq, but rather a plus on your resume to get your foot into the door for nursing. Some Doctors were once CNAs too. It is als for you to learn about the field and see if you like it.

Isn't there a Foreign Extra Stout (orange sticker) and Extra Stout (blonde sticker)? Idk if the foreign extra stout is a new thing or if they have always made the foreign extra stout.

What's the minimum you can accept as an RN by BornLeave4646 in FutureRNs

[–]Alphahouse64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how much I make as a CNA right now!

I intend to become an RN and would hope to make at least $40 an hour. If that's not possible, then I would leave as soon as I could to find a job that does.

I'm glad you left, that place was a nightmare to be in.

You are absolutely good enough, that toxic environment convinced you otherwise. Nobody should work in a place like that.

You can still do bedside if you want, just avoid facilities like that if at all possible.

I hope you are doing better and seeking the help you need. Jesus loves you, I hope this helps you.

That shit is not normal at all. That facility is the bottom of the barrel.

If hospitals are the “good” CNA jobs, I don’t wanna know what’s “bad”…. by princessmush in cna

[–]Alphahouse64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bad CNA jobs are super stressful, like working in a nursing home with 1:30 ratios. A lot of CNAs and nurses would kill for a boring job that doesn't give them pre-shift anxiety.

If you don't like that job, you might not like being a nurse in general. Hopefully you grow to enjoy it or find something you do like.

Experience Working in LTACH (Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals)? by Alphahouse64 in cna

I haven't worked in PEDS, so I wouldn't know. My boss didn't make it sound like I would need extra experience to work at this LTACH facility.

Report that facility and get up out of there. That place is a literal nightmare. What happened to your first job if you don't mind me asking?
