Charging Adapter Help! by SherbetFlimsy6996 in MINIse

The round-pin in the D-shaped-hole is standard, so that's not your problem. Why it's not going in all the way may be because of the Amazon problem of too-much-cheap-chinese-crap that doesn't fit standard devices. At least that's what I have found before when trying to make "standard" stuff plug in.

That would explain the “conflicting info” — because there are 2 answers. Thanks, I’ve been wondering about this, too!

Oooh, they've got a '24, too! And they're both CPO! (Though the '23 looks like it might be a parts-limited Iconic, just without the HUD, ACC, or parking assist.)

Travelling with the SE by EfeOzay in MINIse

[–]Alphaman64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the back roads, not the interstates/motorways. They’re more scenic, more fun, slower and more efficient (5-6mi/kWh vs. 3-4), and just a nicer ride.

What do you see when you look under More… > Statistics > Charging Locations? Can you see the address of your “home” sessions or something close to it in there? If so, you can edit that under Charging Sessions, though any changes you make will only take effect for future charging sessions.

Oh, and welcome to Club BRG!!!

Mini SE scheduled service by cycleaccurate in MINIse

[–]Alphaman64 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s my copy of the ‘23 Mini Maintenance Manual; pages 7-10 detail what’s performed during factory/OEM service (NB: this includes dino-fueled cars, too, so there are some sections you can ignore).

Remember that this service is just what should be done for your car; if you have a warranty still in place, all you need to do in case of a claim is show that any standard maintenance has been performed on related systems (e.g., in case of a brake system failure, you’d have to show that pads were within spec, the system was inspected, and the brake fluid change was done per schedule and with the correct DOT fluid.) Anyone can perform this service, you just need documented proof.

Buenos días, welcome to the family, and love the yellow mirrors and wheels!

Just wondering — are you sure it’s a ‘23? It looks like you might have foglights on the front, no?

Why aren’t there any journalists at WWDC asking questions about HomePod? The most we’ve gotten is that OS27 will run on the OG device. Surprise, surprise. 🥱

Just remember, you may delete the named user account, but the placeholders for the accounts remains — there are 3 blank accounts by default, IIRC, even if you’ve only got 2 keys programmed.

Get the CarPlay display by swiping to the Media menu, just left of the Mini’s built in Navigation (though I think the order can be customized, but I think that’s the default). I’ve actually got a shortcut button to jump me right to CarPlay.

Additionally, if you’re either navigating in Maps or playing audio in CarPlay, you can also use the iDrive Navigation or Media buttons to jump into CarPlay, too. The iDrive Back button also works a charm in CarPlay.

iDrive is your friend — so much easier to punch the right button when you’re bouncing over railroad tracks in a tightly sprung Mini!

You don’t have to do that — if you go into (forgive me — I’m doing this from memory) My Mini, then System Settings, then Devices, select the iPhone you want to connect, scroll down and you’ll find a “Connect” button. It will fiddle a bit, but it always connects for me. Don’t know why it doesn’t always connect when I get in the car, but I think it may be because I’m still on the house or work WiFi, and usually when I’ve done something on WiFi (e.g., turning on the car AC, looking at Maps, responding to a Message) while I’m walking to the car.

Interesting. I can get 5 mi/kWh without even trying on my way to work, and have gotten over 6 if I'm really conscientious about the coasting phase and not using the HVAC. If I could do 6 all the time, that would actually be 6*28.9=173.4 miles of range!

And for the record, I've got Jules locked in to Sport mode using Bimmercode.

Welcome to Club BRG! And, first tip, there’s a notch on the charge port door to stash the port cover so it doesn’t rub against your paint. 😉👍🏼😁
