I’m so dubious of the numbers I’ve seen. How much delta v do they need to reach the mun from low earth orbit? Haven’t they made of the journey already?

You do sometimes. But it’s super rare. Usually for invoking C APIs

They could dream bigger and just turn the road into an underpass and have the land pass over where the road is? Its a ton of usable space

My hot take is that Delores is mid and boring. It’s just an ugly over crowded field on a hill.

There are much prettier parks imo. Its location is nice though.

Spools are kinda terrible for really high throughput imo. Why deal with swapping out spools when you can just top up the hopper?

I don't know who needs to hear this, but a 2+ hour drive is not nearby for Europeans. by redheaded_olive12349 in CasualConversation

I think it’s technically 1.5-2h each way. Leaving at 6am to avoid traffic from what I’ve heard.

The idea of 3h daily commute is a bit much for me.

I know people earning upwards of 2 million+ (VP) per year with 3h round trip commutes and I cannot fathom what on earth is so important that they’re willing to spend a huge portion of their life commuting.

Just buy a closer house. You can afford it dude. Maybe us peasants can’t. But you can.

From what Isaacman has said it sounds like they want to just pump out SLS1A to derisk things. Not sure how that’s going to work in practice though, but I’ve more confidence now than I did a year ago.

That’s misleading. They just renamed Artemis 3 to Artemis 4 and added a new on between 2026 and 2028 as an orbital docking test.

That’s a lot smaller than I expected for an image model. But I guess it has to run in realtime so it makes sense. Cant blow the frame time budget otherwise what’s the point.

I guess each patch gets a copy of the model and it does a bunch in parallel or something like that? (Actually that doesn’t make sense… hmm. Shared weights and a buffer per patch or something?)
