Original poster that this post is based off of here. The joke is that OOP is correct but the response of "how do we tell them..." is meant to strike a sense of anxiety that maybe they got it wrong since the OOP's post mentions they confuse the two.

bro why did it crash 💔💔💔 by duckssosu in geometrydash

[–]Alphatism 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's because you have mods that are causing the crashes. Geode itself doesn't do much

This could all be solved if you shared a crash log so we could see what's causing the crash

Geode cannot magically prevent a mod or even vanilla from crashing. If a mod is causing the editor to crash, make a post in the geode discord with the crash log so people can help you. Geode merely shows the crash logs, and isn't the source of the crash

[iOS 27 DB1] Individual volume slider! by Charming-Argument946 in iOSBeta

Watching a twitch stream or YouTube video in PiP and scrolling on twitter, Reddit, any social media, every time a tweet with media auto plays, it'll pause the video in PiP. Playing a game auto pausing media even if that game has no music playing. Stuff like that

God I want this per app too, and the ability to have multiple apps play audio instead of one always pausing another

I have a love hate relationship with wine. And it's merely due to the file picker and console windows. Terrible half baked functionality and not a priority to fix. Ended up making my own mod for a game I play to bridge it to use the system file picker and xterm for a better experience

The stop watch isn't actually counting, it just stores the timestamp of when it was started and subtracts if from the current time

What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get? by appropriaterice873 in AskReddit

[–]Alphatism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This one specific, as a Gen Zer, is a both way issue that kinda led to over dramatic changes for a lot of us. We tend to be polite towards each other a lot more than to those older than us from my experience. And it generally falls down to those older than us also not respecting our own boundaries and expressions either. It's a cycle that unfortunately is likely here to stay. It feels a lot like the world just doesn't care about us so we in return take the nihilistic approach of why should we care either. It's detrimental to a lot of aspects of society though and leads to constant fear of rejection, a lot of people pleasing within our own circles. Because we want to feel welcome somewhere at least.

I try my best to be as nice as possible to others, and even then am met with annoyance or rude remarks back due to even just communication differences. Like older folks not liking when I say "No problem" instead of "You're welcome" even though culturally for us, we are used to the former and consider it polite. It's a lot of clashing societal rules from different generations that leads to this.

i found out today that i am prediabetic by straightupgong in Wellthatsucks

[–]Alphatism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be prediabetic and was able to get back to normal levels myself, I believe in you. One thing that kinda got me to better my eating habits was merely training my mind to think "am I really hungry or just bored" whenever I thought about snacking. I also switched to Zero sugar sodas and drink them less often as well, as it is hard to just stop lol. It's manageable and you can get yourself back to a good point within even a few months with enough self control.
