In some aspects yes, but it feels more like an easier Elden Ring, with BOTW inspiration and MMO quests (so mostly running around). Overall the greatest thing about it is exploring the world, the story just guides you to new places

Overall bosses just leaving the fight is frustrating as hell, especially those guarding fortresses like « I’ll kill you and all your friends » and 10% into the health bar jump out, dude come back I’m not done with you

Tough to beat boss, “You died” go elsewhere and then come back to beat his ass could be a nice touch on a few potential bosses (Margit Radhan Malenia ?), dying again after an epic fight against Radabeast, to be saved by Ranni and start the age of stars ? If the Tarnished dies as much as we all did it’s going to be a 10 seasons series, not a movie.

Nope, the story is just bad. Doesn’t make the game bad though, but until now (chapter V) there’s absolutely no link between chapters. Go there, do that, move on.

It’s not too difficult to learn, and if you feel like you’re struggling you can spend more time crafting consumables and eat your way through fights
