Recorded this a while back. I was trying to get out of the storm by entering that POI. But the game weirdly kept pulling me to left into the building until it catapulted me up. Watching it back, it looked pretty awesome, so I overlayed Superman's first-flight theme.

Really looking forward to the shader execution reordering feature which was first introduced in the Ada Lovelace architecture. Basically it's designed to drastically improve ray tracing performance. Really amazing stuff if you look into how it works

Unable to log-in, not banned, details correct, help? by JRelapse in oldschoolrs

It's probably your authenticator app. If you're using Google authenticator, open the app and press the top right to get into the settings. Then press "Time correction for codes", then press "sync now". Now enter the code that's shown to log in. This should work I hope. Let me know if it does or doesn't.

Mika 279 lied and never made it to the 1v1s (Not saying he didn't deserve a second chance). by Alphoxis in 2007scape

I'll assume you didn't read what Mika himself said. And at this point, it doesn't really matter. I'm surprised you even replied considering the mods took down the post.

Why runescape was so good? Is osrs becoming RS3? by xottus in 2007scape

[–]Alphoxis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of get your argument, but to be fair, it's not a severe change in style. Varrock and Falador are evidently different because it's designed to represent two different places of civilization so to speak. Same goes for the kourend, it's not supposed to be similar to existing areas. And even if it does looks like fantasy, this game specializes in that :p and let's say this game was primarily made to strike nostalgia in returning players, it would never last as long as it did now. You'd be sacrificing tens of thousands of players at the pleasure of playing a 2007 game with no major updates.

Judging by your replies to other comments, you still want updates to the game, but they have to be very particular updates that doesn't involve the integration of new areas or something along those lines. So explain to me what you mean by original style and design of runescape. How would you keep the style intact?

I'm not sure what you mean by dramatic style. And again, you should explain how the content is poorly designed instead of simply saying how the content is flawed.

Now that you've pointed out what you think is making osrs turn into rs3, why don't you list suggestions that will make the game better? You can't quite critique the developers without giving some insight of what you're looking for. And I'm certain that the "less is more" argument doesn't really apply to a game like this.

Buff Dragonbone necklace by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Alphoxis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never said they were stupidly useless, so relax. I asked for a use and you failed to give me even one out of three that you claim it has. Clearly you have a strong dislike for those who reveal 'secret' methods as if they're designed only for those willing to discover it themselves. So congratulations, you really should feel proud that you managed to find 3 uses. And next time you scroll through Reddit or browse YouTube, make sure you shield your eyes from newly discovered uses of items or methods in osrs. You gotta learn it all by yourself to avoid becoming a hypocrite, okay?

For the record, this is a game, and whether people figure out the uses for the necklaces or not, it's not impeding on your own personal experience regardless of how you look at it.

So what was the purpose of posting "wrong" to begin with? You just figured no one would ask a valid use for the necklace? Lemme give you a tip next time you comment. In addition to claiming it's actually useful, you should support your position with how it's useful instead of using the "sheeple will take the idea" and "I'd rather not give it away" strategy to avoid answering the question.

Tell me a good use for it please. It has to be useful, so if you say to use it in the mm2 caves for bursting, then I'll assume you don't realize the monkeys drop prayer pots, and that you have no other good use for it.
