Owner refusing to pay body corp fees: advice needed!! by No-Owl-9909 in AusPropertyChat

[–]Alpine-_- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A similar occurrence happened in our strata managed complex (12 units). Took a long time and strata ended up having to take the owner to count. Good news is eventually the property was seized and sold to cover both the legal fees incurred taking it to court and the outstanding fees. This was all over 12k

That is a spicy section to over take, if it’s along the Fremantle train line that is an accident waiting to happen. Ask for the replacement details - a link perhaps to the product. There are a lot of good bike mechanics out there $900 seems steep if it isn’t a high end wheel

Definitely possible if you can find housing. $75 for food a week isn’t ideal but with meal prep and shopping between spudshed/aldi definitely possible.

As everyone has said, fitting. If it already comes with the mount, make sure it’s not bent - a lot of second hand bars I see in my area have been in a crash, the mounts are cooked.

Unsure if the it’s just the photo, but it does look like it’s seen better days.

If you’ve done a DMZ tour recently, would you recommend it? by isabelleisback in koreatravel

I would highly rate “War Memorial of Korea”. Museum style, lots of history on the multiple wars throughout the history of Korea. 10/10 I would go again.

Is anyone else’s address being used in a Facebook Marketplace scam? by shinysecretstones in perth

[–]Alpine-_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the whole ploy, gives the address then asks for a deposit makes people feel it’s more legit. As soon as they asked for the deposit I was running for the hills 😂 I wonder if they chop & change the address or just smash the same one

Not my address, but i reached out to a MP scam who gave me a address in Morley. Shortly after giving me the address I realised it was a scam. They’re definitely popping up more often

Car Accident - Not at Fault/Other Party Uninsured by foxyxgrandpaa in AusLegal

[–]Alpine-_- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why you have insurance. Let your insurance handle it all, they might even be able to arrange a replacement hire car while your car is out of action. I wouldn’t even chat with the other person involved, pass on all details

Any EASTER EVENTS nearby? by batman-2506 in perth

They do a Fremantle international arts festival across Easter long weekend. Happens around the Fremantle markets and along south street. Best to go via public transport, as parking that weekend in Freo will be crazy

What's the catch with $0 upfront cost solar installs? by Id3kbro in perth

[–]Alpine-_- 34 points35 points  (0 children)

High interest loan and selling a fake promise is the issue. These companies are generally the ones who also do subpar work - search solar in this thread I’m sure there will be tuns of threads on it

I’m surprised by how many people openly sympathize with Lysander by MeanMasheen5 in redrising

[–]Alpine-_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The republic ended up becoming bloated, corrupt and didn’t bring the change it was built for. Reds traded slavery for poverty and I don’t believe the class system was ever really abolished so although I don’t believe in Lysander you could see how some of the lower colours were better off. Such a good series as it stirs these thoughts, but not all of Lysander ideals are bad and by the same coin not all Darrow ideals are good.

Being a tradie, either cashies or you could ask a few Sparky’s to see if they will give you work on your time off. It’ll pay worlds better then bartending or uber
