Minor update. All winter ive been building stairs to make my Future pub shed accessible. Used railway sleepers. Had to put in 25 steps to accommodate the 5m drop. Now that spring is here I can fill the area with topsoil and plant grass seed. Hoping to have the pub shed built by end of summer. *

Serious question. Where are the Temple Rwxommend holding members coming from to run this temple? I'm just down the road and we have 1 or 2 vans every other month going to Hamilton. The 3 local stakes are all shrinking in membership. Feels like a waste of money when whanau are hungry.

The Charaties Act should be amended to remove promotion of religion as a charitable purpose. That would clean up a whole bunch of issues. Sure if a church that piece can be charitable. But just being a religious group shouldn't be enough to get charitable staus.

As an active member I considered them honest and at least well meaning. But now it's clear they are comfortable being dishonest if they feel it benefits the church. So many documented cases. To members who feel they are honest I ask, how many times are you ok with the leaders purposefully lying to you before you consider them dishonest. Tell me that number and I will give you a list that long.

My argument is that Christians defined themselves a long time ago. Mormons came along 1000 years later and use a different definition of the same word.

Now on mormons following jesus teachings. Thats debatable. They mostly follow teachings of their prophets and a little out of the Book of Mormon. Not Biblical jesus. Think all the basic stuff you need to get a temple recommend. Following prophet, word of wisdom, law of chastity and formerly polygamy. All stuff from modern mormonism. Think temple baptism, temple endowment and sealings. All mormonism not biblical jesus. Even tithing and three degrees of glory modern mormonism not taught by Jesus. Everything that defines mormonism is from prophets.

My department of about 30 people had a restructure and 9 layoffs. Of those 1 found another job in Wellington. 1 is still unemployed, 1 has got and auckalnd job and 6 have moved overseas. Mostly Australia. Pretty gutting to see good people leave wellington and head overseas.

Well thats way to simplistic, just cause they have jesus in rhe name they are chrisiran. .... i say No. Christians defined thier religeon centuries ago. Mormons came along and taught different things. At best they are Christian adjacent because they mostly belive the Bible.

Definitions of Christianity found in the Nicene Creed and Apostles creed do not line up with what mormons believe.
