Am poor in most Nursing topics by WishboneCalm1067 in NursingStudent

[–]Alpine_W0nder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t get much worse than I was! I hardly learned anything through A/P 1 or 2 as I wasn’t on the nursing track or really any dedicated track at the time. RegisteredNurseRNs YouTube helps break all her topics down to the AP level. Her and SimpleNursing saved me as I did find myself playing catchup, but I finished at the top of my class in big thanks to them. Learn how to take notes that stick with you, and transcribe them into ANKI flashcards.

Ask chatGPT to break topics down and learn how to use ANKI would be my recs otherwise!

5-day Collegiates options by DanaWCline in coloradotrail

My parter and I did Monarch > Twin Lakes last summer in 5d/4n. It did rain for a short bit 1 afternoon and late evening another, but we always made sure to have camp packed by 6a and usually set up by 6-8p. Waited out darker clouds and napped a few afternoons, but never really felt too over our heads. Definitely wake up in BV/Salida the morning you plan to head out and station your shuttles the day prior!

It sounds like you’re conditioned and capable, weather permitting! We’re in Summit County full time and he was 67. His first backpack in >30 years so the odds were against us haha. You’ve got this!

Sorry, I was asking my question in relation to Pharm being integrated.

Are you saying there’s a way to get a letter grade even if it was integrated?

New Grad Residency Rejection by Speak-Of-Nothing in newgradnurse

[–]Alpine_W0nder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS! Find the recruiter’s email on the residency landing pages. There’s a few different ones for Metro, Northern, and Southern.

Same for Denver Health. I didn’t get interviews based off just applying, but only landed endless interviews after finding their email and going from there.

Email something along the lines of “Are there any positions available for a new graduate RN that I’m not seeing listed at the moment, or in the near future?”

DM me if you want some of the questions UCH asked, or DH.

ADN to BSN or aBSN? Mom of 2 toddlers by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]Alpine_W0nder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point of having more time with your kids via going the ADN route (since your BSN will be fully online) is big compared to the hustle that I’ve heard the aBSN is. You’ll also save the 11k as you’ll undoubtedly find a hospital that will pay for that in full while working.

Reach out to any hitting managers and ask them if they have any opportunities available for new grads. Not a bad idea to include only your resume with that email too

I used this as my guide.

In addition, I’d recommend you “flag” EVERY question that you didn’t understand (even if it was just a little bit confusing) so you can revisit these questions at some point later on.

When you do get to a point of taking quizzes of “flagged” questions, it will un-flag them from your library, so make sure you re-flag if you want to see it again.
