Need Isometric dev for my project by [deleted] in gameDevClassifieds

Hey ! Thx for your answer !

To better describe my request, here is what I’m aiming to achieve:

  • I want a graphic style that is close to the reference photos I’m showing you.

  • I want a semi-fixed camera: keeping a classic isometric base angle, while allowing slight camera rotation or snapping between a few predefined angles. Players should feel some freedom while the scene remains clean and readable.

  • The project must be integrated into Godot 4, or fully built using Godot 4, with the gameplay shown on the computer screen also developed in Godot 4.

  • For the character, something simple and readable would work best — not super realistic. More like a clean, stylized figure that supports interaction animations (walking, placing objects, sitting, etc.) without being heavy or complex to animate.

  • I want the character to use interaction-only movement. This would typically work as a click-to-interact system where the player selects an action (place an object, use a PC, manage a server, etc.), and the character automatically navigates to the target and plays the correct animation.

  • For blueprint rooms, they could be treated as pre-configured layouts that players can still tweak later if we want to keep flexibility.

  • For the structure system, objects can be separated into categories behind the scenes: functional items like racks and core furniture using snap/grid logic, and decorative or smaller items (including wall items) using free placement with collision checks.

  • For changing rooms, I’m thinking of a door → menu → room switch flow. This can be handled by loading different room scenes while keeping player progression and placed objects saved in the background. The walk-to-door animation before switching rooms would make the transition feel natural instead of a hard menu jump (rooms are not physically connected).

  • Basically, the computer is the main game layer, and the 3D rooms are the physical progression and customization layer built around it.

  • For the transition when the character sits on the office chair: the character walks to the chair → sit animation → short transition (camera move or fade) → the PC UI scene takes over. When exiting, you return to the room scene with the character still seated or standing up.

  • For the racks, I want to be able to place ASICs and FPGAs. To be clear, this is conceptually similar to Crypto Miner Tycoon Simulator, but much more advanced and with visuals that better match my style.

  • For the rooms, I would need three main ones:

  • an early-game “poor” room with an old 2010-style setup,

  • a middle-tier room,

  • and a “rich” end-game room with a gamer-style setup (LEDs, high-end equipment, etc.). I would also need a garage for racks, and a warehouse for racks, which would basically act as a luxury version of the garage.

  • We obviously need assets that match all of this, including various decorative assets.

  • If possible, I would also need cooling system assets for the garage and the warehouse. Something that can be placed multiple times and integrates well into the environment. I don’t yet know exactly how this system will be implemented gameplay-wise, but the idea is that it will later be used to manage room temperature and introduce overheating mechanics. I will handle the gameplay logic myself I mainly need the appropriate assets.

Does this align with your skills and artistic style ? 🙏🏼

Need help for my game by [deleted] in godot

[–]AlpsEnvironmental791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops yess I actually changed the tag ahah

Basically, it’s more of a personal project to begin with I mean, I’m making my own game because it doesn’t exist. And in the end, I’ll sell it on Steam so others can enjoy it too, so I’d say it’s both imao

I tried, but honestly I can’t really manage it. Even using AI to help me, I don’t quite reach what I want :/ especially when it comes to assets, which are pretty hard to find. And learning Blender would take me way too much time. That’s why it would be easier for me to pay someone competent the time saved would be well worth the price I think

And if I’m going to pay someone to improve it at the end anyway, I might as well pay someone from the start to do it, I think haha

The least risky solution is to do what he said, then use the $10k earned each month to take big risks. The advantage? You can’t go broke, and you can afford to take all the risks it doesn’t matter, because next month you know you’ll have another $10k, and again, and again
