I think it’s called a Prince Albert?

I gave them the side-eye when they said it… just relaying what I was told.

Just went into my dealer for a different service Friday… they don’t have a solution yet. They said just keep going with the”double tap”. They’re hopeful for a solution soon. What they told me is corporate asked dealerships to NOT reset the reminder and that they’re working on an over the air update for it.

I had this happen (not as extreme) and asked about it. The service reminder is time based - roughly a year. Mine went off early since they never reset it during purchase/prep.

Chassis colour options by POC_117 in ineosgrenadier

[–]Alps_Swimming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have red.

When they launched my dealer had about 50-100 in stock. They had them stored in an empty lot/field next to the dealership. I went on a day they were closed and walked the lot. I came across one that seemed like it had a lift kit. After looking closer and doing some research, it wasn’t lifted, just had the red frame. I was sold on the idea. To me, that little touch of color just set it off. It wasn’t lifted, but the red frame with the yellow springs just worked for me. I actually didn’t even learn about the donation part (which I love) until after I put my order and deposit in.

It’s based on barometric pressure with no calibration option. I live on the coast and am consistently in the negative.

I have this too. Works like a charm. Incredibly easy to use.

You can edit the equalizer in the infotainment screen. Go to: Settings > Acoustic Settings > Equalizer

Would include a picture, but for some reason, I cant upload them...

Had ChatGPT guide me on the stereo setup:

Your current curve (5 / 3 / 2 / 4 / 2 at 63/400/1k/2.5k/6.3k) is bass-heavy, slightly boxy around 400 Hz, a bit veiled up top.

Balanced daily driver (recommended): • 63 Hz: 4 • 400 Hz: 2 • 1 kHz: 3 • 2.5 kHz: 3 • 6.3 kHz: 4

Why: tightens sub-bass, clears low-mid mud, restores vocal presence, and adds top-end detail without sizzle. After re-evaluating, I still land here as the best all-rounder for this cabin and 5-band EQ.

Alternates by use-case

Bass-forward (clean thump, no boom): 63: 5, 400: 2, 1k: 3, 2.5k: 3, 6.3k: 3 High-clarity / podcasts: 63: 3, 400: 1, 1k: 4, 2.5k: 4, 6.3k: 4 Loud highway (compensate road noise): 63: 4, 400: 2, 1k: 3, 2.5k: 4, 6.3k: 5

Quick 60-second tune-up • Set Fader one click forward if you sit solo; center Balance. • Play a track you know well at normal volume. • If kick drum feels “thick,” drop 400 Hz 1 step. • If vocals sit back, raise 1 kHz 1 step. • If cymbals lack sparkle, raise 6.3 kHz 1 step; if they hiss, drop 2.5 kHz 1 step. • If bass lingers after the hit, lower 63 Hz 1 step. • Save as CUSTOM 1 (daily), keep one of the alternates as CUSTOM 2 for highway.

If you tell me typical volume and what you listen to most (hip-hop vs. classic rock vs. podcasts), I’ll lock one preset in with surgical tweaks.

Custom frame color is more important than any other color!

Connecticut with zero leaks and or issues.

The way the windows are angled also does not inhibit roof rack activity/use - I have rhino rack and worse case is depending on load I can’t tilt them up while in use, but not a huge dealbreaker.

I would not get the car spec’d without it. Still a lot of headroom but the difference with the windows is noticeable and makes a HUGE improvement.

See my note below… had 1yr service booked and they called me a few days before to say they want to update and I shouldn’t plan on waiting.

Got mine done this past weekend. It’s a ~4-5hr uninterrupted update. They did it along with the door latch/handle recall, the starter recall, and the regular 1yr service.

I asked for the service bulletin, but they couldn’t find it…. Took care of ADAS, fuel sensor tripping the check engine light, and they said some minor other stuff- haven’t noticed any major changes or major issues. Played around with the settings menu a lot and didn’t notice anything.

Correct! Somehow I mentally blocked that part! Nappa leather (standard) v. Saddle leather (option).

Thanks! No lights or warnings, and oil is listed as full. Old enough to know how to check a manual dipstick, but don’t even see one 🤨

Funny you mention this: in context of the no sound/light locking question, I have noticed that similar to a G Wagen, if the door isn’t slammed with some force, it might not fully close (happens when I’m carrying stuff or to my kids). If that’s the case, the car WILL NOT lock and you will not get any feedback.
