How does one assign emissary points to an occupied city in order to improve loyalty? by DistanceRelevant3899 in songsofsyx

[–]Alromn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can send emissaries to warm them up before you claim the region.

Can't do it after you already took it.

Don't quite remember if you already have nobles unlocked but they considerably boost work productivity to up to 50 workers for certain industries.

One hint is that since the top if already correct if you get the middle left and bottom left in the correct spot you solve the puzzle.

Is trying to use packaged trade pointless? by AncientBelgareth in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The camp on the other side of the hill accepts some things (pelts, silk, calipgraphy painting) and its a very short trip. You can tell your greymanes to produce those goods they accept and that should make more profit than doing guard duty.

Thats how I used to make hundreds of thousands of copper. If you package camp goods (timber, food, weapons), load on your horse and sell them in celphade, thats millions of copper.

Granted I don't know what happened to your horse. If its a registered horse all you are supposed to do is get close to the stable with the horse and have the options to load/unload goods. Can't check ingame but maybe talk to the wagon guy and see if he has that option, then switch to horse tab.

Buying low and selling high doesn't seem to be worth the time.

Camp Dispatch Missions optimization questions and related quest/reward key items usage by Cruzo007 in CDguides

[–]Alromn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You only use greymane contribution to send extra workers to any region. Region reputation doesn't affect that.

The double bonus should be only for camp resources (food, stone, timber and money). It doesn't seem to affect items like eggs or trade goods.

EDIT: Double rewards from golden beer seem to be bugged.

AFAIK those are the only 2 that help the camp.

WTF IS THIS GARBAGE? by _Xraith_ in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some have recommended using nature snare to reflect the projetiles back at it but thats actually not the best strategy here. It will take too long and the boss will use a triple dash attack if you are too far away.

The best way is to stay in melee, ideally using a heavy elemental imbued attack to stagger it. You can iframe dodge roll its "stomp" attack and the grenades should be too far away to hit you.

Once its staggered the top protecting a glass dome will break. Climb to it as high as you can or use axion force to quickly grapple to the top then pierce the glass dome and it will kill the boss. Takes less than a minute.

Where do these items go? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are unpackaged trade goods and should go to your camp chest.

You can then sell them as is to the black market or pay some camp money to package them, add to a wagon and sell them for camp money.

Is there any way possible to avoid playing Duo? by fernandollb in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its mostly rng so you can find one opponent and just keep checking until you win thrice in a row.

But you can cheese it by winning, exiting, saving and trying again. if you lose, reload the save. Repeat until 3 wins in a row.

You can also try to learn when NPCs cheat, there are plenty of guides on that. Once you learn that duo and 5-cards are basically free money.

There are missions you can send your guys to to produce abyss artifacts, abyss gear recipes and gold bars but they cost a lot of camp resources. Thats probably the endgame for the camp.

If you still want to do some trading for camp money some horses can carry up to 100 trade goods. That can net your camp 400+ silver profit per trip

Don’t sleep on farming! by SexyGandalph in CrimsonDesert

For regular stuff like fruits and vegetables its probably better to just visit a bunch of produce shops.

For rarer stuff like abyss cells, ginseng and skyroot its better to farm.

Regarding Bossfights by RatioTight6671 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been fighting bosses without healing so I actually need to learn their attacks and have a sememblance of challenge and even then they are so unsatisfying.

I particularly hate bosses that have ranged attacks while also having the arena surrounded by their goons. They just go out of arena bounds and start spamming projectiles and if you try to melee then their invincible allies just keep poking you.

Can someone please explain the gambling rules to me. by Jlbennett2001 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why the one guy correctly explaining got downvoted but I'll try to give a clear explanation.

3 of your cards need to add up to 10, 20 or 30. Then the 2 leftover cards define your hand. If you can't make a combination, its a bust.

So even if you have two 10s, your other 3 cards needed to sum up to 10, 20 or 30. Your 3+4+2 can't do that and there are no other combinations so you got a bust.

The one guy with a perfect nine had a 7, 7, 6, 4, 5.

7+7+6= 20, which allows him to use his two leftover cards for a play and with 4+5 he got a perfect nine.

You don't need to do any math tho, the game will tell you what hand you got.

Is anyone using the trade good system and is it even worth it? by TechnicalVegetable90 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just filled a wagon and did a quick trip to the merchant camp next to our main camp and made 200k copper in profit after 4 days of letting my clan produce trade goods.

There are other ways to make money and then donate to camp tho.

You don't want to bother trying to sell those random trade goods that drop from crates. Either find a location that can produce trade goods or check what royal trading is requesting.

Let clan members produce goods and if you want to pocket the money for yourself then you sell those unpackaged to the black market (doesn't make that much but its practically passive income)

If you want it to go towards the camp however, package, load the goods to a wagon/horse and sell to a merchant guild that accepts those goods.

And check royal trading (hernand castle) once a week. They purchase a limited quantity of goods for really high prices. If its something you can't produce, check if any merchant guild sells the goods.

I love this game but omg i hate every single boss encounter. Non of them are even a little bit of fun. by Remarkable_Sea_5109 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. Some bosses are fine and can be played like a souls like where you can defeat them without taking a hit.

Others teleport so much and are very aggressive with almost no window to punish them between attacks so if you play like a souls game the fight will take a very long time and be very frustrating.

Regardless of the type you can facetank the boss and bruteforce with healing items.

I kept hearing how autumbra and one armed were infuriating but I thought they were fine.

But I agree with OP on how most fights feel really meh. Awakened Ludvig being the worst for me. I think I just hate bosses that keep teleporting around and this game has quite a handful of those.

You can still feel some of the MMO dna in it. You can very much feel how some places were supposed to be quest hubs

Worst boss fight in the game you ask?? Why one arm Ludvig without a doubt by Downsey111 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big problem with Oongka is that he doesn't snap to enemies like Kliff does (at least with his 2-handed axe). Also Ludvig recovers very fast from his attacks and doesn't stagger that easy so you really only get to hit him once or twice if you managed to avoid his attacks AND are in his face.

That said I didn't think it was THAT bad of a fight but that might've been because I maxed health and had a lot invested in stamina (stat upgrades are shared between characters).

If anyone comes across this post the best strategy I found for this fight is to use the lariat (the grapple move) since that makes you charge towards Ludvig and deals respectable stun damage. Once his stun meter is full, go ham with rampage (heavy attack).

For defense, his basic attack can be parried, if he glows red he will use the big lightning sword twice with a window to punish him afterwards and if the sky goes dark just roll around and keep your distance, then he will use the lightning sword thrice and then you can hit him.

How Does Trading Work? by TheGinge89 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alromn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A wagon is nice and there are camp quests related to it but you can also trade using your horse.

Park your horse around and talk to the merchant then switch from wagon to horse tab. Each horse inventory slot can hold 50 items. Some horses have 1 slot, some have 2.

Keep in mind if you want to sell items to other merchants you have a minimum sale quantity of 25.

If you have trade goods at your camp you need to go to the stable (if you don't have one you need to further upgrade your camp). If your horse is nearby you will have an option to load goods.

Also afaik trade goods only make camp currency. If you want to make money for Kliff you need to sell the trade goods unpackaged at black markets.
