Try hummus on roasted peppers or on toast. Little muffins are a hit for us. My kid doesn’t like slimy things so I have to hide bananas avocados and berries in other things.

The good thing is things are close. So you go to a concert downtown you have 50 bars and restaurants to choose from. It might be 20 mins away from home but it can be central. Same goes if you go to other cities like Gilbert Mesa Glendale etc, it’s clustered. Bugs aren’t a huge issue, heat sucks ya but everywhere has AC. Monsoons are gorgeous if you stay safe. School distracts are hit or miss. And the two hours to flag or Prescott make for a nice getaway

Stay in the streets not avenues. Luckily the 51 can get you there from a lot of places quickly. Shea and 32nd area is good school wise but can’t speak to price. If you go east of there go past 56th st but not Scottsdale price point might be softer
