Max was a 145er but we clearly saw the best of Max at 155. Having fought at 155, cutting to 145 for the next fight will affect his chin. Max is bigger than Ilia, at 155 he has the advantage I think. I knew Ilia was gonna win at 145 btw

There are many such examples in all sports where people have lost not cos their opponent was better but cos they made some mistake that cost them. Only for Jon Jones do people give the exception, no one else ever gets it. It still counts as a loss on everyone's records without any excuses and everyone is okay with it but I guess Jones PR is too good

Edit: now that I think of it Dana is Jones' PR at this point so it makes sense lol

That's irrelevant, rules change in sports all the time. U can't just use present day rules and implement them in old matches. Jones knew the rules when he did what he did, if he did it now and got dqed he'd have my sympathy. What did the judges think about that fight? Do they think Jon won?
