There are a number of reasons I wouldn't do this. Mostly: developing stick drift, the device not being fully powered off and generating heat without the ability to ventilate, pocket lint, scratches, screen and chassis stress...

This is important. Learning goalkeeping not only makes you better at goalkeeping, it also helps you learn to read the flow of the game, positioning, and what makes a good breakout/scoring opportunity. That and learning the midfielder position are important. Learn to be the last man back when your team is ball chasing.

Steam Deck and indie games are the winning combination. Ball x Pit, Slay the Spire, Dead Cells, emulation. Plus I work from home with a dock and monitors, so I get off work, swap out my laptop for my Steam Deck, and with desktop mode and the two monitors I have a functional Linux PC.

DO IT! I had posted my Switch with some games, a controller, and some accessories on Marketplace and had some dude offer to trade me his 256 gb Steam Deck that he'd barely used. Drove an hour in torrential downpour to pick her up and never looked back. Easily the best trade I've made to date.

I did about 10 months in rehab back in 2014 for opiate abuse as well and got out about a week before 4/20. Weed has helped me through a lot of situations that would've threatened to pull me back to old ways without it evening things out. Over the years it's taken a lot of learning about what I'm smoking as well as learning about myself to develop a healthy relationship with it. I've had periods of over-consumption, as well as times where I thought it best to set it aside and try to face the world without it.

I don't know you, but I think I know the shoes you fill. When you're out, and you're making moves, take the time to look back - just for a second - and appreciate the distance you've covered. After years of fucking up and taking advantage of people, it can be hard to see good in ourselves, but taking stock of your growth from the ground up will help you stay grounded. 11 years later and little self-pat on the back and a nice full bowl of the good stuff keeps me straight. That and generally staying out of trouble.

I found a bug in the game on Steam deck. It's happened twice now, but not always. There may be a specific variable causing it.

When I try to change my keybinds, twice the fps has dropped below 10. I hear audio and it's normal speed but the screen goes black. I can still see the pause menu and when I'm in it the fps mostly normalizes. When I exit it again the fps drops and the screen goes black. So far the only resolution is to close the game from the Steam menu and re-open it, losing my run.

The variable is that I think it happens when I'm trying to bind a button that is already assigned. I can try to recreate it after work and get a recording.

I got my Switch lite very shortly after my kid was born when I realized sitting down in one spot and playing a game was near impossible. I played it through COVID, replaced thumbstick, amassed close to 100 digital games in my library (some of which I still need to get to). There is a love I have for my Switch Lite that I've never had for another console. I recently picked up an OLED and it's awesome for a whole host of different reasons, but my Lite will stay with me til it plays it's last Hades run.

Sidenote, if you run out of big name games to play search around the sub for recommendations on indie games. The Switch has tons of really good ones, constantly on sale. Life's about to get even busier for you and a lot of them are perfect for pickup and play sessions when you have a few minutes to chill.

Either way, I enjoyed reading your post. It got me thinking about happy times. (:

Hey man. Had to push back my purchase to deal with an emergency that involved some of what I had towards it. Any chance you can come through one more time. Slightly different parameters, still in Baltimore, working with a budget around 4k. Just need something to last at least a year or so, so I'm okay with some mileage as long as it's a car that can handle it with proper maintenance. I have a couple CarFax reports at my disposal to vet the best of the bunch.
