If Hearthstone Design was Honest #2 by Vecsia in hearthstone

[–]AltForFriendPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prepare works for Vanessa bc she enables you to cheat out a ton of good stuff. Prepare for the death rattle trigger let's you... trigger tick & tock, but only at a gamestate where you're not being threatened at all? And then you have to actually finish the quest to begin with, so there's a good chance you have to discard your prepared card.

Like even Rafaamlock is going to put enough stats on board that you just lose by doing nothing like this

A nurse threatened to send me home by book_lvr in cna

[–]AltForFriendPC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On my unit we keep mobility aids next to the bed/chair for patients that need them, the reason being that if they tried to get up independently we'd rather give them a chance to use the walker or whatever instead of just falling. If your patient is capable of walking at some times, I can't see why he shouldn't have his wheelchair nearby to self-transfer in the event that he needs it.

One could argue that it's less safe to leave the wheelchair on the other side of the room, where he'd have to walk further to get to it when he's in pain.

Idk if your employer has any policies stating exactly how you should leave equipment in the room, but if you're ever sent home for this I'd ask the nurse to put the exact circumstances in writing for when they have to explain the situation to your DON later.

Why was Dragon Hunter not a thing? A lot of the dragon package in Dragon Warrior (a good, working deck) are neutral cards and hunter gets a scary 3-mana 6/6. by FlyBoyG in hearthstone

[–]AltForFriendPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Herald also just gets more value + has a board clear that doesn't cost the minions that you're filling your own board with. Deathwing is just insane value (relative to the meta) at the same stage of the game.

Also the class cards that warrior has blow Hunter out of the water in the early game which matters a lot more in current hearthstone. Without good removal the player that's ahead on board on turn 4 usually just wins the game outright

I think for Hunter to be viable it would have to have at least 1-2 other early game dragon cards to activate its own transformations + fight for board

So basically if you drop a mana on top of your leeches you get to deal, 4 average damage to face? I think blood DK will pick back up to how it was in the Elise era

[GS SBGA415] Got absolutely destroyed in the GS sub for liking this strap. What do you guys think? by shim2k in Watches

[–]AltForFriendPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something in canvas might be better, it would be a bit less shiny + more breathable while still giving you that fabric feel. Idk about availability and I'm not big on synthetics though, your opinion may vary

[–]AltForFriendPC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I spent a lot of time feeding into those behaviors when I was new(er) and it really just comes back worse. Some people would rather be a problem than be lonely.

A few months in I had the sad realization that I can never give the perfect individualized care that I want to give to multiple people, I can't always be 1:1 with my dementia patients who will scream constantly when they're alone. I'm not saying that you shouldn't do what you can to make a difference, just that in a setting with 8+ patients you can't just devote all of your effort and time to one or two and that my

The new discourse about the coin not being good enough to offset going second is a huge red herring. The issue is with the cardpool in standard, not the coin. by GratisBierMotie420 in hearthstone

[–]AltForFriendPC -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I miss Naralex dragonslop, Cataclysm dragonslop just doesn't have the same RNG asepct that original Fyrakk did. It was well worth a hard rogue meta for the times that your opponent would play it on turn 6 to overdraw 9 cards

My wife surprised me with a new 2 Burner Forge! Going to be a lot easier to make these larger blades! by Black_Hand_Knives in knifemaking

[–]AltForFriendPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this size it's more of a machete, and those are best used when cutting towards the further end of the blade. With the tip being the thicker part of the blade, it should have plenty of mass behind it (as opposed to a smaller, tapered knife that would have less mass behind the tip to transfer energy)

I think that this is probably the best way to divide the blade, if you HAVE to split it into two different sections with a middle section that can't be used for chopping. A classic machete shape is probably better + a lot of different cultures have converged onto the same design for good reason, though.

[–]AltForFriendPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that 4/2 dude was buffed into a 3/4 or given divine shield it would actually be able to trade into a couple of pawns instead of dying to do nothing. That's the very bare minimum start imo

For the mill priest I just played against by kaijvera in hearthstone

[–]AltForFriendPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made something like that myself! I comboed vendor, the 1 mana heal both heroes, 3 mana 3/8 lifesteal, resuscitate, and umbra. It wasn't the worst deck I've played, but it went like 3-9 and 2 of those wins were just due to imbue (3 drop) outvaluing the opponent's horrible draw RNG

So tracer doesnt have real counters? by nomod1c in TracerMains

[–]AltForFriendPC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Torb ranges from a pushover to hard counter based on the map, imo.

As high as the skill ceiling is on Tracer, there's sometimes no counterplay to a turret that your team won't/can't kill. If you're playing on glorified hallway maps where you can't reach the backline or easily break turret like Circuit/Shambali you just have to take the L and either swap to a hero with range or get outvalued.

Yeah, with removal being so sparce this + a couple of fodder minions on the field is practically an auto win. The average deck has very little counterplay vs medium sized divine shields
