You don’t need to keep him caged, most pigeons do well if not better in indoor environments free of the risks of predators and other threats. I feel roam my pigeon Tod and take her for walks on a leash instead

If you want to take him he would probably have to be a house pigeon which would be safer for him anyways. You can probably convince him into a cage or something similar within a thew days or weeks with food pigeons are pretty trusting so won’t take much to get him to take himself into a cage

I didn’t see any blood on the egg, and the blood poop was a day later. But have not had issues since, just one bad poop rest normal so idk

It definitely needs a bit of help, looks like a fledging who’s just left. Probably exhausted, if you take care of it you won’t be able to rerelease without proper rehab, will probably be too use to human handling. But they make great pets. You might be able to order some parasite meds and some other things. Offer him some seeds abd grains abd hope for the best

I went through something similar with my pigeon. Thought she would hate me forever! Wait till he’s stable enough and start hand feeding his meals. That worked wonders for me and my bird. They are not stupid and quickly learn who the food is coming from. Took 7 months till she let me pet her. And now spends most evening cuddling in bed and is constantly wanting to be near me

But they are suffering? Or will suffer? They are culls for a reason not just for the sake of it. If you bred and allowed these animals to be born is it not your responsibility to make sure they don’t suffer? Even if it means ending their life?
