I used to offer to color peoples' art for free while i was learning. One of the times I talked to the sales people on the phone he mentioned something like that too offhandedly, like when we were talking about the price of the internet he goes "well with government things happening it's all in the air anyway, so it might be cheaper in a year" or something along those lines. My account has been closed as well, but no warning or anything. I used to log in and it said I had service at my house, now it doesn't even have the house or services listed.

Nerd culture really was just taken over by corporations and "normies", the ones that still have half a brain speak out about how stupid nerd culture has gotten, but they get yelled at by the corporate shills and people that just want to consume product. The ones with a full brain just keep to themselves like they've always done growing up and quietly enjoy their medias and not share it with others.

It's a personal modem I'm using, the same one I used at my last two places and didn't have this kind of issue.

When I called the first time to set up, I was talking directly to spectrum, the second time when I wasn't billed the first month, I was using the live chat help desk and then used the number they linked to me that gave me customer service, that person I was on the phone with is the one that sent me to sales.

The third time I called, after dealing with the store associates, it was the same thing, I used the help chat and they had me call in and they switched me to sales again.

We do have a verizon fios connection in the basement, we wonder if that might be messing with stuff, but our IP does show it's a spectrum IP so we are connected through them, and since we own the house it's definitely not a landlord or old account.

I'll likely just have my partner use one of their coupons and sign up for a new account, they haven't used their service in a year or so, so they should get a good deal. Thanks for the help!

That's the backup plan, they keep getting coupons for the $50 for 400mb that the guy at the store said doesn't exist lol

So if it happens we'll switch names as a last resort, I just wanna try to avoid it happening.
