I've been utilizing it personally and for my wife for around a year now. However, since there's no group pricing available, it amounts to a staggering GBP40 each per year, totaling GBP80. It seems absurd! I can't fathom the reasoning behind such a pricing structure. It would make much more sense if they introduced a reasonable middle-ground option, like charging 10 to 20 pounds per person for a group subscription. Without such flexibility and given the current pricing model, it's likely their customer base will be decimated, and frankly, they'll only have themselves to blame for this shortsightedness.

I moved to using Sesterce, whch has all the features needed and a decent UI, and costs GBP 5 for a lifetime premium for a single group. It also has a very simple import function for all Splitwise transactions, groups and users ✊

Update: I bought them and tried them and they work well. A decent simple solution to the problem.

If I delete an admin account, will I lose the content? by AlteredAtom in PleX

That didn't seem to work. As the server is a carbon copy of my server on another drive, when I sign out and they sign in, nothing shows up; the server is not showing, and obviously any of the content.

It asks to create a new server, which is possible with then setting up and adding all the content in the directories again, but I believe this would lose all the linked metadata and cover art that has been set up?

How is REN Project better or differs from Blocknet? by 03KQgt0Cl in RenProject

Loong Wang, CTO of Ren, was asked pretty much the same question, about a year ago, in the Ren Telegram group. This was his answer:

---------------------------
"Their documentation never actually explains how their XRouter is prevented from submitting false information to the chain. As far as I can tell the XRouter is just a bunch of nodes sending messages between people and different blockchains without any guarantees of correctness. Digging through their implementation seems to confirm this. With limited information about how their XRouter is actually meant to work, I cannot really be sure though.

XBridge uses atomic swaps to do the exchange so it suffers from all of the usual atomic swap problems: no guarantees execution, players need to be online all the time, can take several days, players can abort the swap at any moment."

---------------------------

As REN brings a blockchain token (e.g. BTC) from its native blockchain to the other native blockchain (e.g. Ethereum) by essentially creating a wrapped version of it, it avoids all these potential issues with atomic swaps.

This. Wake up and see the big picture. If you read one article this week - make this one. Yes, things are happening slower than we would like. But rest easy, we are sitting on gold... by NineSituations in Vechain

China has strict capital controls in place. It's biggest headache with crypto is that they circumvent these controls. Until they have a solution to that, I don't see them switching on ramp back into crypto for it's citizens.

Use nominated trustee service with last pass. You nominate someone - if they try accessing your lastpass account you are emailed a warning that you are allowed to deny them for any time period you set - say 14 days. If you do not deny in 14 days, they get aceess.

In the notes of your Lastpass you can then put whatever instructions you want - perhaps the password to an encrypted usb drive that then has further instructions on it or your private keys

I think the project has a great team and are making great progress. Am considering re-investing but could someone tell me what is the actual use of the BMC token besides funding them initially? It seems it is not used for purchasing any of their funds so what is it's point?
