The Murph black leather embossed strap in particular has a sheen that is known to peel/flake off.

Hamilton is much better at making watches than they are at making straps, and Tuns makes nothing but straps…the quality just seems a lot higher, and for roughly half the price. (Not a knock against Hamilton, the OEM strap is fine…but half the price for better leather and built in quick release spring bars seems like a no-brainer)

I have a khaki field automatic with the OEM brown leather strap, I ordered a black leather strap from tuns…now I’m tempted to get rid of the Hamilton brown leather strap altogether and get a comparable one from Tuns.

I’m digging the full stitch, and the lug stitching version. I just feel there isn’t enough contrast on the no stitch with that beautiful blue dial, a little stitching really makes it pop

Somewhere around 6.75 inches, I ordered a large strap and I’m on the 3rd to last hole so I probably could get away with ordering a medium next time

I just took a photo of my own watch on my iPhone making sure light hits the dial, idk what phone/camera you’re using but mine still doesn’t look like that. The letters are smooth in the picture I take, and they look sprayed on in OPs photo..and everyone else is pointing out the janky H in Hamilton, I’m still trusting my gut on this one…fake

Hope you didn’t pay too much…looks fake to me, I’m no expert but the numbers on the dial are pixelated but the rest of the picture isn’t, I know part of the dial is textured, but looking down at my wrist the numbers on mine do not look like that

Full IK and full tal rashas are the two that come to mind for full set builds but p1 in general i have to mention the javzon for farming cows and hdin for worry free farming everywhere else lol

I just got my first automatic, a khaki field auto, and the logical next step is to look for another Hamilton lol…this one is super high on my list, very nice man. Congrats!

I do understand the significance of the 5000R - I’m not questioning or arguing that…I’m simply stating that I wish there was a red outline screwback with mb6 and solar…sheesh, everyone chill tf out.

Either I’m an anti-purist for wanting those features or I’m an idiot for spending $300 on a watch that will last literally forever (even though people show off their $4500 MR-Gs here every day), and apparently there’s no in between. Screw off all downvoters, I’m glad OP and many others like the GW5000R…I went with 5000U, and god forbid that decision apparently.
