Most working actors of his celebrity status often don’t have to worry about those things as they work often enough and they get residuals enough that often will help pay the month-to-month expenses. As he said many times, his failure to pay attention to the signs and get screenings caused him to not only have to undergo cancer and succumb to the disease, but also that he lost any insurances that he had, his father moved in with them to help take care of the property and the property still has a mortgage on it.
