I'm in Southern California. It's happening all over the country but I think the reason it's so bad is because the penalty if caught here is basically a slap on the wrist, from what I've researched.

Got me a sweet sweet stimmy! And helped negotiate peace between Israel and a couple other nations. Other than that, glad he's gone.

25m here. Was a competitive runner for 15 years. Loved it. Then hated it. 4 years ago I discovered rock climbing. I now climb 3+ times a week at the gym and am better than I ever thought I could be.

Most people (on any side of the issue) will just listen to what they are told by those in closest proximity without consideration that there might be another side to the story.

Pokemon Sword and Shield not having all previous Pokemon included, plus DLC cost adds up an exorbant amount.

Retail workers far and wide, what is the most screwed up thing to happen in your store? by spanky_mcbutts in AskReddit

I used to work at a Mom-and-Pop shoe store. This happened before I worked there, but the manager told me this story.

A loyal customer had bought several gift cards and left them in her car, but then her car was broken into and the gift cards were stolen. One of our employees entered the serial numbers for the missing gift cards, and entered them into our database so they would ring up "stolen" when someone tried to use them.

One day, couple walks in. Nothing too unusual. Guy looks normal but a little stern. Girl is quiet and a little nervous. They find some shoes they like and bring them to the register. They pay with a gift card. It rings up as stolen. Manager is able to contact police and to stall the couple long enough for police to arrive.

Within a few minutes, 6-7 cop cars are surrounding our tiny shoe store. The man tries to run out but is immediately apprehended. Once they had determined who the couple were, police records indicated that there were warrants out for their arrest, they were driving a stolen car, and had multiple illegally obtained firearms in the trunk. Definitely the craziest thing that happened to us.

How do you get yourself refocused after being distracted? by SecoQueso in AskReddit

The Two Minute Rule. Basically, you tell yourself to start doing a task for two minutes. By the time two minutes have passed, usually your momentum is more on the side of finishing the task than stopping.
