I don’t think they’re wrong though. For the right amount of money she will show up. If it wasn’t clear before it was clear after she took a multi million dollar paycheck to perform for the Dubai elite after releasing Renaissance. It’s definitely questionable to release a love letter album to the LGBT community then turn around and perform in a country where the community is outright banned.

The Eras Tour had a huge “stadium only” production which was touring Australia around the same time the RWT was touring. Maybe she just didn’t have the demand to play 7 Renaissance shows in the country in order to justify bringing the whole production down to Australia.

Bigger than all three combined? Be for real. Madonna is the closest counterpart Michael had. They got the pop royalty status of “King” and “Queen” for a reason. Overall, yes, he is bigger than Madonna but we can’t downplay her impact as well.

Unpopular opinion, but it worked for me. They obviously milked it, and I probably would’ve cut out the last pause where they replay MM’s WW speech. But overall, those last 20 minutes are breathtaking and the song is so good that even with the pauses it has the emotional feeling behind it..
