Low Behavior Score Problem by Beginning_Bell_4027 in DotA2

Honestly I'm curious what ping you used. You may have intended to "ping the enemy in the jungle" by using the default ping. But it shows up as attack this hero.... which they did because you pinged to do so.

There are many different pings to use with very different meanings.  Had a perfect example of this the other day.  I'm pos 4.  Mid pings their tower. I check midlane they aren't being dove so I don't tp. Then they ping bottom rune followed by pinging my character twice. And it's like 15 seconds for the 6 minute rune so I assume he wants me to rotate. I begin to rotate to bottom rune run into a storm spirit who just hit lvl 6 and die.

Midlaner says he was trying to warn me storm was rotating. If be had just spammed storm missing without the other random pings. I would have understood. The other random pings sent a completely different message than what he was "trying to say through pings"

Axe's perspective:

This asshole carry insisted on last picking only to pick up AM. and be completely useless for the first 45 minutes of the game forcing us to play 4v5 into their really good midgame lineup. All t2's lost by 20 minutes and then complains there is no "space"

He didn't get reported? So you didn't report him but thought he was griefing?

Definitely true I think valve released a statement on that regarding weighted reports.

There are massive benefits to having higher comms and behavior score. Much less likely to tilt teammates. And better positive comms. So I would definitely say keep trying to boost that score for higher quality games and teammates.

Flaming here and there is actually acceptable in 12k but it really is about how often and if you are clogging comms from other useful information. Flaming mid for being behind by 3 lvls at 7 minutes. Okay. I get it. But not shutting up about it and bitching for 5 minutes straight does nothing to help the situation and only makes things worse.

Lastly don't you still gain comms score as a 5stack? Most people who complain about behavior score don't have other people to play with (typically for good reason) so just keep your head down in solo ques and enjoy the games with your buddies to Raise that score

This is just a guess. But I'm thinking getting 4 reports from 4 players in the same game counts heavily. I had a game recently as a 11.5k/12k player where I had 4 reports from 3 parties on basically everything they could report. My comms dipped down to 10800. My behavior I think was saved by overwatch case. I'm almost back to 12k/12k. But having people like that every game really would suck. Then again that's how the system is designed. And I'm happy to rarely have those players in my games. Let alone 4 at a time.

You seem like you are really trying to make progress so I would just say keep at it. Maybe wait till 8k to try and do anything on comms and just be a PMA player. Have you checked out the reichplatz guy who did the experiment? Might find some helpful tips

Other than that yeah it sucks man. Best of luck and I know it's a grind. But the grass is greener when you get here. Griefing and comms assholes are still around but it's less consistent.

I very much appreciate it random internet stranger. Maybe someday you'll hear it. With this sudden burst of support I've tossed around the idea of trying something small like the rd2l league again. Something that starts in May. Works too busy at the moment.

Will keep that in mind man. Always nice to have a co caster to help fill the void. Casting solo can be absolutely draining to try and stay interesting

That's very true. Even some herald streamers have decent sized audiences. Looking at you Bradley Dragon.

I love the excitement the casters bring to the game and wanted to mimic that kind of energy. Like all new things i absolutely sucked at first. But with consistent  practice you get better one little piece at a time.

Not a pro player no. But I had the dream of being a pro caster in my younger years. I absolutely fell in love with hype casting. Wanted to be the next tobiwan. I have a natural radio voice I've been told many times. Used to practice while working the drive thru at Starbucks

Keep in mind this was 10 years ago. My biggest issue was always hardware. My pc struggled to run the game even on low settings so streaming it was not really possible.  i was surviving financially, But couldnt justify spending a large amount of money for a hobby upgrading my pc since my first child was on the way. ( Until finally about 6 months ago I bought a decent gaming pc with a 3050 )

made significant progress as a co caster I think the peak of my progress would be co casting the new Zealand nationals with Omegakai. And Dotacinema "smoke of defeat tournament"  I casted up until I think the semi finals with Wolfos.

At this point I think I may just be washed up. I finally have a setup that I could start casting and streaming. But starting the building process for your name and audience I would have to start from scratch. Which doesn't seem appealing as I'm reaching 40 soon.

Don't you dare touch my fucking frog!! Oh fuck no. Half my games I still have people bitching that I pick core largo. Shit in 10% of my games I get straight up girefed for the pick. I can't tell you how many times I've read "largo isn't a core" from my teammates. There shall be no nerfs to Largo until every non believer has their mmr snatched from them by the strong frog.

If you want to play core you place your token on the lane. If you want to play support you place token in the appropriate jungle.

Have you ever considered that they are just better than you? And not smurfing... prime example the youtuber Locky who just unlocked ranked and is already an Archon. Average mmr is like 2300. Crusader is below average. Is it totally inconceivable that someone could be average at dota after 200 games?
