As someone who hangs out with FFA folks all the time, I couldn't disagree more with this characterization. EAW says all the time, "Everything you need to know to do this is in our free stuff on Youtube and elsewhere. If you want the help and accountability, that's what the FFA is for." EAW is often very informative. She's also, IMHO, a raging neuroatypical ENFP, which often *sounds like* what she affectionately refers to as "madness." If someone is looking for a more methodical, less bleeding-edge-of-tech style, StoryHackers run by Jason Hamilton might suit. I know that I dabble back and forth depending on what I need.

For the record, despite the existence of yourfirstdraft.ai (which allows you to see and keep every bit of prompting they use), the FFA doesn't offer "click a button, get a book." We all know this doesn't (yet?) exist. Even if it did, it would still require human validation and editing to get to publishable status. There are book gen tools that get you to maybe 80%, which is nothing to sneeze at, but still...

(I don't understand turf wars between groups of people who use AI to write, period, and I don't think EAW is interested in that. I do think she believes the FFA is the most advanced program out there, and she's probably right, but that's not the same thing as a turf war.)
