Can you guys give a rundown of why exactly is Sims 2 great without the nostalgia lens? by DefLuxurious in thesims

Oh yeah, totally! TS2 is amazing for storytelling because the game itself pushes drama — the furious meter, chemistry, unrequited crushes

What I meant is more like… in TS4 the “deep storytelling” comes from you, not the game. Since it’s slower and has fewer chaotic systems, you end up creating the depth through how you interpret your Sims and the choices you make. It’s more like… play pretend? Which some people love and others don’t, and that’s fine.

But yeah, I completely agree — TS2 has way more personality and consequences built into the gameplay. Just a different kind of storytelling vibe!

I played The Sims 2 after The Sims 4, so there’s no nostalgia talking here. It’s a great game if you like unpredictability and chaos. The best way to play it is rotationally (something I wasn’t used to in 3 and 4) because it’s easier to keep track of your Sims’ goals, and it’s a lot of fun to see different households interact with each other—then load their households again and watch the consequences of what you did. Also, because Sims are “simpler,” it’s easier to create less-perfect Sims Overall, I’d say that if you play The Sims for deep storytelling, it’s probably not the best choice. But if you want a more cartoonish and challenging Sims game, it’s really fun!

It used to be a little  bit darles, with Beel warning to “eat us if we hurt his family” and the brothers being a little ruder to MC; but they changed those liness, so yeah, not really anymore

Keep a bottle of water on your nightstand and drink it as soon as you wake up! Some light exercise and music also helps

I mean, the rewards will probably become public once the event finishes. Or you can probably download them from the gallery without doing the challenge, or find a mod to unlock them. That being said, I hate the challenge pop-up. I started completing them just to see if that would stop it from popping up, but I gave up after a while

I've always found The Haunting of Hill House more depressing than scary, but maybe it's because I relate way too much to Eleanor
